OverLord reacted to Sunbreakers in How did you get your start?
@Bham It was good to get to stop for a visit today. Told you I would try to make it more frequent . I wish I had read your post above before I stopped by. I would have told you in person what I will type to you now.
In life I have learned that for every one or two good decisions you make there is bound to be a bad one. Not hiring you back in the 90's was a terrible decision on my part and an oversight that I should not have allowed to happen. I wasn't willing to give you a chance, didn't think you had the drive for it, and I let other folks influence my decisions when I should have at least given you an opportunity. You have proved me wrong many times...you have certainly been driven and you have achieved my achievements...your own shop. That one mistake of mine not only was very obviously my loss, but it also alienated us from each other and put a strain on our friendship maybe even still today. In front of all of these good, professional folks here on this forum, Jason, I want you to know I am very sorry. I hope others here can learn from my mistake and always be willing to take a chance on others. I am very proud of you for what you have achieved.

I did speak to his old boss which I used to work for as well. He said man every time I talked to slick he bragged on how good you are doing. That does my heart really good.

You can always snap them on your peel board. One thing that helps fingering is bumping the edges with a paper towel. They never drain the slip solution well.

I'm so broke I've been eating cereal with a fork so I don't drink too much of the milk.

I'm about the same, imo they're easier to do so I don't see a need in charging more. Film usage has to be close to the same when you think about it. The half windows in the back will most of the time stack on top of the back glass so none extra used. Also I can do those quicker given most have privacy glass and you don't have to worry as much.

They really aren't that hard. When installing, use a side swiper on the bottom, instead of a bulldozer. Side to side on the bottom to squeegee water out, not down.
You're welcome.

Can you sell me some tint so I can do my own windshield. I've watched you tint several times.

Likely the reasoning on that one is because of a black rubber piece that sits right at the bottom. Lower the seats down and you'll find a few black plastic rivots that hold the deck in. Remove those, then pull the carpeted deck towards you. This will get that piece off the glass and give you enough room to work. Once done just push it straight back and reinstall clips.

Working in a house today for a contractor and I swear I feel like the dude is gonna stiff me. Hopefully I'm won't but we'll see. Still haven't been paid for the yacht so it seems to be a trend
