  1. Used to do those T-Birds when they were new...Do them in one piece...Take paper towels and fold up till they look like a maxi pad..shove one in each bottom corner. Squeegee behind them with a hard card then shove them tighter or add to them and tell customer to remove in three days...Easy peezy..also used to do the Chevy Berettas that way.

  2. Llumar will pull dealer rights to anyone they catch selling film out the back door. Regardless you cannot warranty it so it would make no sense to go that route. If everyone else is carrying it why would you want to join them? Global, Solar FX, Express all could get you a great film and you would be different and stand out. You can also set different prices....Same film=same selection=same price and you ultimately lose at that game if anyone low balls the rest of you. I would not want the same thing everyone else has. In our area everyone knows Llumar as they actually market and advertise, but Global is pretty solid as well. All depends on your area and market.

Rotate the file so the cut on the file is going in the direction of the sideways cut. If i said that right. Like if you want to go sideways you can aim the cut on the file into it.

Yes, @Tint Slayer, I think we both meant to make sure that the file "grain" goes in the same direction as your filing motion...in other words don't go up and down with the file and try to move it sideways for any reason. Angle the file in the same direction you intend to push. I sometimes try to file too much at one time by going straight up and sideways in the same motion.

Great pics of just general tints. I love the tints that are on the windows, it takes a house from regular to spectacular in a matter of one tint job done right. The cars are amazing as well. If you're looking for a car tint done for your car and live in Jackson MS, contact window tint Jackson @ www.windowtintjackson.com we do window tints, headlight restoration and vinyl wraps.

Appreciate all the posts and comments on this page, very informative and exciting!

    He said "tints". :smh

Its funny how i finally got the old lexus panels down and now they changed them. Secret for the old ones is you got use some force to get the panel back over the frame edge. They never just fall into place!

Actually the old ones are meant to have the gaskets un-clipped from the panels first. You put the gasket on and then snap the door panel into them.

As long as car is clean boards are better though...can you cut on plexi glass for handcutting ???

I bought a sheet of the lexan or acrylic that Homedepot sells for $100. I find the thin plex will shatter or crack...especially if you score it several hundred times with a knife. lol!! the piece I bought is holding up after over a year. Problem with cutting on it is you are cutting INTO it so you don't have the movement or flexibility you normally would if on glass. Not sure how else to explain it. Hope this helps.

Been using the orange crush for some cleaning. Anyone known if the blade can be trimmed? Im pretty sure the pink and clean crush can not be trimmed.

How about sanding it? I sand mine with 800 grit. Sometimes follow up with 600. Not quite as sharp usually hard to get that back.

Also, while we are on the subject of these three....I have noticed so far that either all of a sudden I am squeegeeing over areas that I shouldn't be or it seems to me the redline nicks a whole lot easier..maybe it is just me, but one of my guys has the same problem. Him and I put new ones in our handles and in a week or two we are having us a sit down and sand party for what seems like forever.

  8. All, I wouldn't worry too much about him sending in the patterns. About a month ago I sent in the 2018 Nissan Titan Windshield with the sensor in it, 2019 Chevy Silverado windshield, and a "repair" pattern for the current Ram 1500 windshield that has never ever fit and is like 2" too long on the sides from the middle to the top corners .....sent that to Terrance at FVD. Called him now twice.. and no update to the patterns database....for any of them. Guy acts like I have caught him in the middle of watching a football game every time I call.   Esoterik,  it will be forever before it makes it out if at all and probably be past the time it will really serve you. Just sayin.

  9. These kegs are both...once used as syrup tanks for the old soda machine setups and now used as beer kegs by the home brewers. I would stick with a good brand like the Italian made AEB.They are not cheap but top notch quality. You want the Ball lock fittings. Not too hard to build but the sprayer and swivels are $$$ I have mine mounted on hand trucks 5 gallons and then one I can sit on 2.5 gallons and wheel around with. Great for never having to stop and refill every day. The one I use for ppf is 3 gallons. I can help you with putting one together if you need suggestions for hardware.

  10. It seems like that year Challenger did NOT have the black plastic channel at the bottom...Wasn´t it like the 16´s and up? Regardless, pulling the hat rack forward just a smidge will help greatly as @jh812 suggested. If you still have problems then you might want to make sure you are tight at the bottom. There is not a lot of wiggle room with those as you have seen. Good luck with that and keep trying!! We have all been there.

  11. I have 2 Q42s and 1 Q64. Mine have worked great right out of the box and I wouldn't take anything for them...but stories like the above concern me when the day comes and I need help or repair for my $11k investment. Last week Signwarehouse was telling folks the machines had almost no negotiation on price due to tariffs on Chinese goods...these are made in Japan. Now it appears the clowns in the shipping department don't care to properly pack and ship machines sent in for repair.  Very troubling and disappointing.
