Personally, I love the look of 3M CS...it has a blacker look with a hint of blue. Llumar ATR is going to be a neutral charcoal color with a light reflective appearance since it is a metalized film. Nah, you want to hear some WTF?! The Georgia governor ordered shelter-in-place for the state but on the EXACT same day he allowed the beaches to reopen to the public for "exercise". Like people can't run anywhere else but on a beach. Yeah, he is a fool.

PA tint laws are tricky since they do not specify what a legal shade is, only that the windows have to be clear enough to see inside from the windshield and side windows. So it is completely up to the officer if they want to ticket you. Anything below 50% could be considered too dark to see inside depending on the amount of sunlight that day. However, looking at window tint shops in PA, they tend to agree anything below 70% is illegal. So this is probably the level of percentage they are confident that you will not receive a ticket. So it is completely up to you, just know if you do something like a 20%, be okay with paying a fine possibly more than one. Just to give you an idea, there is NO state that allows 20% on the 2 front doors and most do not allow it on the rear windows with the exception of SUV/Trucks. Now as far as inspection goes, I did not see any mention illegal will make you fail inspection. I would contact an inspection station to clarify this. According to Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code Section 4524(e)(1) related to Sunscreening and other materials prohibited it states that No person shall drive any motor vehicle with any sun screening device or other material which does not permit a person to see or view the inside of the vehicle through the windshield, side wing or side window of the vehicle. Subsection(2) this subsection does not apply to: (1) A vehicle which is equipped with tinted windows of the type and specification that were installed by the manufacturer of the vehicle or to any hearse,ambulance,government vehicle or any other vehicle for which a current valid certificate of exemption has been issued in accordance with regulations adopted by the department. Check out Express films if you want something low priced but good. If you want junk film to practice check out ATC films.

There is only ONE source...Huper Optik. Any only seller advertising Huper, 3M, Llumar or any other major brand is selling a cheap Chinese or Korean knockoff. Brands like that do not allow you to sell the film and would drop any dealer caught doing it. Not to mention there are professional tinters with 20 year experience that can't shrink Huper Ceramic without ghosting it. You have a better chance of hitting the lottery than doing that as a new tinter...not to mention waste thousands of dollars trying it.

That really depends on your area, I have seen CA rates double that of other states. I would just call around to the local 3M shops from a cell phone and get a price quote on a coupe and sedan...I do this every 6 months.

We use them for headlight/taillight tint...it is the same product as the original Luxe films. As far as wrap vinyl, not sure.

I have the same model, I bought it to have a small one up front for quick VLT checks...we have the 2-piece model in the back. VLT is fine, UV is rounded up to 100% no matter the film so not accurate, and IR is only measured at 950nm so gives you an idea but not accurate.

You will need the shop to meter your stock windows to see what they are...can range from 18-30 depending on the vehicle. If your rear windows are closer to 30, you could do a 50 on the rear windows and 15 on the front. If the rear windows are closer to 20%, you could do AIR 80 on the rear windows and 15 on the front.

CTX hands down. Llumar is considered a higher-end film where as Suntek is a mid-grade. Suntek films have bad low angle haze and scratches very easily...another consumer was just on here last week complaining about the haze on her 2 front doors. IMO, CTX is going to be a better match to the rear privacy windows than CIR.

As a consumer, it looks super sketch if you have to pay cash and get no warranty paperwork. How do you have a warranty if there is no paperwork proving it? Especially since Llumar requires all warranties to be added to their online system so you can have coverage from them. I get the legality defense but honestly if something happens that gets the law involved, it wouldn't be hard to prove the shop tinted it. It is sad that in 2020, there are so many tint shops still working in a 1995 mindset.

XPEL would hold the crown as best when it comes to fitment. Since it is the best, the price is higher than some of the other options so you have to find the best balance for you. I've seen some good shops use Tint Tek too.

I almost bought a Tesla S but honestly not 100% on board owning an electric not to mention the lack of top end speed even on the P model.

The Tesla 3 is just a piece of chit period. All the design flaws, crappy paint...it is for someone that wants to say they drive a "Tesla" without having to afford an actual nice Tesla.

You can apply heat to all the areas and use a card to make them smaller but still will be seen. Ideally needs to be removed and retinted.

That is dirt and hairs/fibers...not air/water bubbles.

Depends on the film, but 5 minutes is average. I just looked up Photosync and they no longer mention it transitions, just shows Photosync IRD that focuses on IR rejection so not sure if they are doing it anymore. We played with CoolVu which went back to the higher VLT pretty quickly even though it had a bigger range than Photosync. The only downside of the drastic range of CoolVu is one side of the car can easily be 10% lighter on the side not facing the sun.

Just about any window film blocks over 99% UV which will be the same as the tint you had applied to the side windows. Ceramic technology helps block heat, it generally doesn't offer anymore UV protection than standard films. However, there are not many clearer options for the windshield in standard films so a Ceramic option is ideal. If you need something higher, 3M Crystalline blocks 99.9% which is the highest possible but will be a more expensive film. As far as the low angle haze, the film you got installed is one of the worst for it. Tint World uses Suntek film which is known for bad low angle haze and scratches easily.
