As you unroll dont let the rolled portion of film or your hand touch the glass. Also, dont start unrolling the film all the way in the side edge.  If the pattern pulls away, comtamination will come with it. When pulling liner, dont let the very last rolled portion or liner hit the glass.

You can always snap them on your peel board. One thing that helps fingering  is bumping the edges with a paper towel. They never drain the slip solution well.

When I first reverse. Tend to get dirt and creased. Now I manage  it well. It is the the best way to go. The only one I don’t reverse is tinting on a hatchback.

i have not cut ppf with it since xpel is local to me they cut it out for me ready to go if were not bulk cutting. These machines are all picky and can be frustrating at times , even the expensive ones. Once you figure out its quirks and do's and dont's , its pretty easy to use and maintain but i always babysit the plotter as its running. I was actually looking into the titan 68" for my next one because its large enough to do ppf and still reasonably priced under 2k. Don't want to lead you down the wrong road but may be worth a shot to save some money

i use suntek for the program and the patterns are ok sometimes they are wrong , as far as patterns go i have seen xpel to be spot on. It took some playing around to figure out the plotter to cut the tint correctly. Too much pressure you cut all the way through and too little you don't cut enough. Honestly have to mess with it till you dial it in to your liking. Blades i think and don't quote me on this but a pack of 4 25 degree roland blades is $60 maybe. i change mine out every 4 months it seems. The suntek pattern program is a monthly fee and not sure if we are allowed to discuss those prices on here. To me it seems reasonable for the volume i cut out.

@quality tintz in the past I have always recommended signwarehouse dot com and they have done well. The best deal you can find for mainstream printer is a vinyl express Q series...usually a Q42 or Q64. They are a generic Graphtec and usually cheaper. However, one of the other guys here tried to buy one last month or so and they had gone way up and were really not an advantage price wise over the graphtec fc8600. The girl I have always used cited the China tariffs as the reason they had gone up but Graphtec is a Japanese company so go figure. I tried the cheaper stepper stepper motor plotters made in china that some folks had recommended and it was a nightmare...didn't work, force was uneven, cuts were horrible and blades went dull like every day or week. My Vinyl express I bought three years ago I am still using original blade..not sure how as it has cut a ton of film.
    Hope some of this helps.

I use 409 on all that, but it's just my preference. I agree with @redneckj about using the water alone, no soap on the market will tell you to rinse with more soap, be it dish liquid or shampoo, the soap catches the dirt and is to be wiped or rinsed away with water. So he made a great point and i'm going to start doing what he said.

Interesting. Never heard of this. I only use sprayaway for scrubbing the back window and cleaning seals and surrounding areas on the side windows.

then on the sides and bottom of the window where there is a little glass cleaner left, wash it off with straight water.  The key is straight water, NOT slip solution.

I use it before razoring window and final sqeegee. I was amazed how well it breaks down adhesive for removal. I cant believe nobody ever mentioned it. I mixed up some dawn and alcohol a couple weeks ago.  Works ok, but the sprayway has better coverage and no mixing stuff.

I just use j and j and distilled water. Wipe your squeege after every stroke. I do love spray away to.

My first thoughts always are, how is the quality of the cut compared to using an olfa? Is their any weirdness or jaggedness in the cuts? Like are they clean enough to peel and stick with no worries? Because i'll buy this seeing as any machine i've bought has had to be "finessed" or have some special needs, whether top name or low grade i always have to do some compensating for the machine.

Take this for what it is. We have a US Cutter 50" Laserpoint II plotter that brand new costs maybe $800. When going from hand cutting to plotting i already owned this plotter for vinyl sign purposes as a side gig. So far it has been cutting out about 60 cars a month (give or take)  for over a year. Is it as awesome as a Roland or GCC, probably not. I will say that even though the cost of the machine was cheap, it has done a fantastic job cutting tint. Being that it is a budget plotter, it has some quirks every now and then but im ok with that. For as cheap as it was new and the amount of use i have gotten out of it i have no problem recommending this plotter to people looking to make that jump without wanting to spend thousands. Buy some roland blades, replace the cutting strip every so often, and play with the speed and pressure settings and it will cut everything you want. Hope this was somewhat helpful.

I had a very angry customer call and tell us that he had streaks on his windows and they cant get it out. Told them to bring it in. The streaks were on the outside and it was just oily residue and just needed to be wiped off. We gave them a free step by step training of how to clean windows.

Apologies for the confusion, at this time we’ve chosen to only offer kits for vehicles that were current during the last five years. This ensures that all of our available tint kits are available pre-shrunk whenever applicable. This library is ever expanding as we get our hands on vehicles and confirm patterns. In addition to what you currently see in the store, we have an extensive array of kits available in our library going back to the early 90s. If you don’t see the kit you are interested in just make your request on the Contact Page and we will be glad to assist you.

It's highly concentrated, so you get more gallons of slip per bottle of All Type. I'm not sure why adding more sucks but that seems to be a common problem. In my opinion, if you want more slip after using the req'd amount of All Type i'd just add your regular slip. But it should work at the recommended dosage, works great, Tint Slime works great too. They all work great whe you find that sweet spot, but the Fusion people cut out all the legwork of finding the right amount for you.

I buy it right from LLumar when I order film and other supplies.

I spray from a Poly II pump sprayer.

They sell a pump that screws onto the bottle of Film On. Can't remember the exact volume but I usually use 6-7 pumps in the summer, 4-5 in the winter in a full sprayer.

I stick with regular ole Film On.

Used Johnson's on the very first truck I tinted, nothing but Film On since.

I can't really see switching from something I know works.

For what, $2 over a bottle that lasts for 20+ cars. Nah, I'm happy where I am.

I went thru about a whole bottle of the fusion solution now and it never seemed any different than Johnson’s baby shampoo. And you’re right def have to use a lot of it. I’ve heard quite a few people mention 7th Generation brand dish soap my wife buys it all the time but I’ve never tried it.
