highplains got a reaction from TintDude in Vinyl express settings
Most of that is going to be film dependent. I don't know how much difference there is between the Vinyl Express and the Graphtec but I keep the speed on my Graphtec at 20 and adjust the force from 17 up to 25 depending on what film I have loaded. You're going to need to play around a little and do some test cuts to see what works for you. Assuming you have a new blade and cutting strip I'd start at about 14 or 15 on the force and go from there.

Fronts pull the panels and remove the sweep. Rears you can pop the top and remove the sweep. It makes life a hell of a lot easier on these trucks. In the makes and models section there's a write up with pictures.

I'll play along, as long as you stop calling me out on bad back window installs from Ohio on Instagram.

Yeah, we designed it to come in at 62% IR rejection to compete against the Korean Carbon Films. We feel that it is a much better platform than the Carbon Films.

Short story, there was not a film failure. IRFX Series Nano-Ceramic Film was installed last week 10/7/2019. He was not happy with the installation. 5% all around the vehicle on a 2005 Scion XB. Said it was a poor install. Bubbles in the film, 1 week later. Says that this is a SolarFX Warranty issue. Wants us to refund him. Told him this is not a manufacturers defect to go back to dealer.

Geez.... you know it's bad when the entire outside of the convertible top on the Miata is covered in dog hair.

highplains got a reaction from Aliu121 in Bad tint job?
that's definitely a possibility, especially if it's just the one window
Hard to say 100% without the vehicle in front of me to see it but it sure looks like the glass is scratched. What kind of car is it? Is it new or a demo/used?
With the number of them and the direction they're running I'd hazard a guess that the installer prepped the glass with a razor blade and the blade scratched it. Unfortunate but it does happen, especially with some of the softer glass we see on cars today, if that's the case and they're responsible than hopefully they'll do the right thing and take care of it.

If their prep and delivery team scratched it absolutely they should

That's how I see it. By and large, people here have positive things to say. There's always going to be that one person.
And I do have to stay neutral, especially if they are a sponsor here, it wouldn't be ethical of me to delete bad reviews.

Just feels like slander without any evidence to back it up @Bham

What should I do?
I can't only allow positive statements about a film.

One piece sunstrips, I don't mind the one's that can be done in two so much, as long as I have a plotter anyway.

highplains got a reaction from DynamicATL in How Much Extra Do You Charge for Front Quarters?
In terms of percentages my dyed film is priced at about 20% above average and my upgraded film right at average for 2 fronts

I don't tack on any extra, I'm priced a little higher than average for the region on two fronts so I'm coming out ahead just don't quite have as much margin on the ones with quarters. Luckily they're few and far between for me anyway.

Remodeled and moved into a 60 year old service station as our new larger location February 1st and haven’t looked back! We’ve nearly tripled the last two years numbers in 8 months! 85% of tint jobs are ceramic now. And the lift/level and accessory side doesn’t show any signs of slowing down! This far 2019 has been a phenomenal year.
