My favorite heat gun I've used so far is my Genesis GHG1500A dual temp. Think I paid about $30 for it probably five or six years ago. It moves significantly more air than any Wagner I've used.

Super Dave = I like the Porter Cable because of the rubber coating and durability.  Out of all the economic brands, it's the best one for me.  Not talking about the higher priced ones.

So it definitely goes in 1. - a 60 sideways is the way to go!
Unfortunately, since their is no black border left to speak of, I went all the way to the gasket with the cut. Thought I accounted for the curve of the window by cutting it short, but I was pretty far over on both sides. While trimming it, I got a bunch of paint chips sucked in from the old border. So I shrank and cut it again, but didn’t want to chance screwing it up again tonight! So, I’ll stick it in the morning.

I know now it’s weird, but he’s right! More often than not, the more expensive the car, the less they care. I can’t tell you how many jobs I’ve been so proud to put out only to have the customer in some exotic, take the keys and drive away w/out even walking around the car.

its a keeper! I’ll post up a pic later when it’s back together. Between that one and that 918 clear-plex, I’m worn out. Hopefully, I’ll get some gravy work today.

This was on a newer Mercedes car.  Bottom ws peeling on driver door.  Top edges were nearly perfect so I would be this was a plotter cut.  Nothing like it being shot on the bottom and filling with paint that didn't sick either.

Otherwise tint looked good.  I was shocked.  Would love to know who did it so I could give them a hard time.

Also, @CaliTINT could be correct on a plotter cut, I’ve run across some pretty bad patterns before.

I have found this to be true also. High end exotics customer seem to be pretty happy and cool for the most part. They don't sweat the small stuff as much. I account this to them having bigger things to worry about. Also when you get to a certain level of car you really can't stretch your self to get one. Meaning they didn't put their lively hood on the line to afford it. Now when you get into the mid level stuff like vett's and M3/M5's and the such, watch out, your in for some inspector gadget stuff.

Could it be they used a plotter to cut the film? and the glass is just uneven? I do notice some top edges of windows are uneven. Looks like your is slightly uneven to me which might explain it???

I'm undecided lol. It could've been lined up a bit better???
