I've been thinking a lot about this topic...

Here's the conclusion I've come to:

EVERYTHING is getting more expensive. sell window tint cheaper, even though the price is still the same as it was 20 years ago... STUPID!

Werd.

I have really thought about lowering my window tinting prices, "just a few dollars" now that everything else has gone up gas, electric, and food! I really think that customers are going to think twice before purchasing window tint and shop around for the best price. :dunno

I think you Should Rase your prices along with everything else. Quallity Sales! Sell your service and quallity. People will pay to get a good job done.

I raised my prices but I advertised a free Gas Card with any full tint. Business has almost doubled.

gas card? GREAT idea!!! congrats on it! :dunno

Sorry I agree if every thing is going up

Your prices need to do the same

I heard about a carwash/detailers that gave its customers a small box of choclates as a thank you gift for using its service (not attached to a product or upgrade service)

Three things:

1. They always look busy (plenty of cars getting cleaned)

2. They are the most expencive wash and detailing business around that area

3. They offered the best service (and the cleanest premisses)

I'm going to start charging extra for jobs 10 miles beyond my location, something I've never done. I think customers understand that we are affected by rising prices like everyone else.

My set prices are for jobs about that distance....any further I have to charge more.

lowering prices, raising prices, same prices.

listen all...you all know where your at, you all know what you charge...if you have been in business for some time now, you know when your slow times are and busy times.

Understand the principle of "supply & demand" relative to your area. You will know what to do and when to do it.

Lastly, if you are not willing to "change", your competitor will help you out the door.
