I've tried backrolling something like that and it takes me forever and that's if I don't end up ruining the film. This way I can get it on the glass in like 20 seconds. 

 

It just looks really, really bad as I'm doing it. lol  (From a tinters perspective)

Had a crazy person today...a guy came in for our audio department.  He was asking about installation and they let him know unfortunately they were booked up for the rest of the day and not taking in anymore vehicles.  The guy then says that they better work on his car or he will call the police.  So they were like, call the police then.  So he goes outside and waits for the police.  They get there and apparently the guy himself is a cop and was pissed that he drove an hour.  The cops was like that is not our problem and told him to leave.   :lol

      70% Expel Plus on windshield ripple fix

      Are you certain it's the film and not the actual windshield? You will not be able to "fix" a ripple in film. If you do remove it inspect the windshield carefully though. Could well be the glass has issues.

      Any way to fix a very annoying/dangerous rippling effect on the front windshield without redoing the entire thing? Charms seem to “jump” every so slightly making the driver a little dizzy during driving.

      help arquitectural in Puerto Rico heat

      Hi, new to the forum but a previous lurker. Was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on tints for a business in Puerto Rico who's windows face north (humidity 80% temp 70-100). Main concern is heat reduction though i would like for it to not be super dark since it is a work area. Have not contacted installers yet since I wanted to have some knowledge about products and specs beforehand to make sure im getting what i need. Thank you! From what i've gathered i should look out for: dual reflective film and low absorptive/high solar reflection products used this topic among others for research: "should be a go-to such as: 3M's Night Vision15 or NV25, Vista Film's Dual Reflective18 or DR 28, LLumar's DR15 or DR25 (which closely matches 3M NV), or Madico's Optivision in and around the same number assignment. The numbers assigned to films represent the visible light transmission of the product." "The higher the reflectivity of a film product, the better when dealing with desert heat."

      It looks like the end of the roll was used which has adhesive marks from being attached to the plastic core. You can't use the very end of the film roll.
