i hand cut and bottom load 90% of the time.  when setting up to cut patterns on roll-ups, i set the factory edge of film to bottom of the rubber.  i then set my film where it wont shift.  next i sharpie the sides with a silver sharpie (because im old and blind lol).  next hold bottom of film out some and bump down window to desired likings and cut the top with olfa.  next i move pattern to peel board for final cuts.  next i go back to the rollup and check the sides with a corner card to see how much inset it has.  next back to peel board where i cut the sides to desired likings.  i never have light gaps on bottom or sides.  as for the top edge, i micro gap unless it is a frameless window.  not saying my way is the right way, but it works great for me and im sticking with it.  hope it helps.

I just saw one where there's no light gap but you can still see the bottom edge on the inside. It's just below the outside rubber but above the inside rubber (inside rubber is about 1/4" lower than outside, film is above inside rubber, below outside rubber), is that considered acceptable to top loaders? Like is it ok as long as there's no light gap no matter where it lands on the inside?

The question I want to ask is why do we have to go below the sweeps at all?  sirrus sticker, xm and factory stickers never peel.  30 years tinting, glass replacement and installing door locks and power windows.  dirt, grease and maybe rust proofing is just under the sweep,  slim chance to sticking there.  years ago i tinted a car where the sweep was 3/8 higher then outside trim.  I noticed finger all along the bottom on the outside and could not see them on the inside.  the sweep held them down.   I switched to shrinking the top of the window instead of the bottom and found I had to occasionally heat small finger out of the top now.  only tint to the sweep for cosmetic purpose only and never have any peeling problems.  every film is different,  some stick to the top right away and others can be a pain in the a**.   something to check when deciding to switch films,  had a nightmare of problems with one brand,  redos take to much time and cost to much money

Did a 2011 front door panel only has 3 screws BUT WATCH POPPING UP THE SWITCH ASSEMBLY! The surrounding material is way soft and will tear in a heartbeat. I used a nylon trim tool and it still was wanting to gouge it. Happy tinting folks.

So, anyone tinting a 2018 Camry, MAKE SURE you inspect the rear glass very carefully. They are having issues with the defrosters on some cars. Look at the picture...they will literally wipe off with your hand. It's fully warrantied by the dealer. Just looking out for My Jiggas.....

Yelp is terrible, anyone can go on your page and post a bad review, and you complain to them and they wont take it down. Heard you cant even sue them because they have a policy or some shiat that prevents them from getting sued. To this extent i feel consumers hav ea way to "threating" customers because of a bad review. Everytime yelp calls me i tell them to ffuck off. Its stupid.

This turd comes in the shop basically demanding a CS 20 tint job for 120.00. He gave the front girl ana a hard time for 30 minuets until she had enough. I was stocking rolls on the film rack and overheard the whole conversation.  When ana walked over to me to ask if I would t/o the conversation I said sure. I came down off the ladder and approached the customer. In a calm voice I explained I have owned the shop for 24 years and we gave never done CS for 120.00.  And, if our prices were too high for him to please go to another dealer to get his jaguar tinted. Well, the next thing out his his mouth was wait till you see the review I leave you on Yelp. This is where it all went bad, haha. He didn't expect the volly of in your face belligerent insults he was about to receive. Basically giving him a reason to write a bad review. This pic is a screen shot of the video I was recording explaining to my yelp customers of what a dirt bag yelp abuser looks like. It escalated from there to phones flying, hands in your face resolution. He then started bragging he was a lawyer and would sue me. Haha, I pointed at the surveillance system and told him I'm sure the Florida bar would like to see the way he treats people. He then got really nervous when I started to call the police. Upon their arrival he went from badass to slobbering crybaby. So, my question is how do you handle yelp abusers. Ps, it's entertaining video we watch it often.

Pyramids got a reaction from CXL Automotive in Question about plotters
the main thing to check on is if it has usb connection or a serial port( the plotter) I set up a keyspan adaptor on a serial port plotter to run off the usb on a laptop. I know flexi will work that way. You might want to check sign warehouse they have tech help on set up. Like the others said there is a list on the software to  set up the correct parameters for all plotters.
