Jkatfelix got a reaction from quality tintz in Anyone using lavender j&j baby shampoo
Dude those white things and build up is from not maintaining your equipment....I have a 5 gallon sprayer that I rinse with hot water after every fill and all my spray master bottle gets rinsed every fill...it's only a few extra seconds rinse your equipment!!!

Jkatfelix reacted to TINT in 'Rain-X like windows
Well some folks do the whole clean with alcohol beforing tinting or try to clean with a steel wool. I find it hard to illiminate this no matter what you do, I suggest adding more slip/soup to your solution provide more "slip" during install. Sometimes you have to suck it up and go to town!

Jkatfelix reacted to CaliTINT in customer drop off vs waiting
I see a huge change as far as people waiting vs drop off since Uber & Lyft came around. Back in the day, most people waited. Now nearly 90% of our customers drop off and most of them use rideshare to do stuff while their cars are being tinted.

I get quite a few as well. With my setup the customers are right there typically. Like you said most of the time with women it's no biggie guys though it's like Jesus who's tinting this thing me or you

Jkatfelix reacted to Naples Tint Company in Trading work
I showed up to install impact film on a gun store and he informed me that he was short on cash. We made a deal on an AR-15. Then I traded it years later for marketing.
I've traded a lot in the past, but nothing is better than money.

Jkatfelix got a reaction from quality tintz in Does anybody double cut and double shrink?
I double cut and shrink....but on cars with super curved windows I shrink separately...careful to there's a few windows that the driver side is a little longer then the passenger

Jkatfelix reacted to Fresh Tints Derby in Time?
I ask for an hour on a 3 door hatch, 3-4 hours for a 4x4 or 5 door hatch but I'm usually closer to 2.5 hours - I just don't like to put myself under pressure. Never had anyone not book in because of how long I take. I have great reviews and that's all that matters 🤘🏻

Jkatfelix reacted to DynamicATL in Does anybody double cut and double shrink?
We double cut, but shrink each window separate. The only reason not to double cut is on older vehicles...this is because some of the glass could of been replaced over the years and the seals are not new so might not be the same shape which could end up with gaps.

Jkatfelix reacted to WL Tint in Does anybody double cut and double shrink?
I was taught by somebody that double cut so it's a thing I've been doing since then.
I don't really see why you wouldn't double cut? I guess if you make a mistake you wouldn't need to waste 2 pieces of tint but it's very very rare a mistake is made when cutting so it's worth it with the time it saves imo. If I ever do make a mistake its usually the top cut that I mess up but it's fine since I can just file it
