One of the other kinda local tint guys called me and asked why my price was X amount for X door car and don't i think that was a little too cheap? Yeah i guess it was, so a little communication raised my price and we're all happy. 

Personally, I don't worry about things I can't control.  For example, the last time I looked at gas prices when filling up was probably 10+ years ago.  It goes up, it goes down...doesn't matter cause in the end I need it to drive so why worry about it.  In this case, there is always someone going to be doing what you do for cheaper.  Just make sure you offer better products, better installation, better customer service, etc to ensure you are winning over them.

Yeah i've seen those on Amazon, mostly Ehdis or Foshio, try those out, all 3 cards on Amazon Prime are cheaper than one card from a tint supplier. But over time test out other cards and methods. Or just use your white card, just fold a small rag or paper towel over the edge of the card. Try one fold, then 2 fold, get a feel for what works best for you, firmer or softer. 

I use dry shrink with a glove for the rear window but the sides I do wet shrink with this 

It shouldn't matter when your shrinking since it's only the release liner you're scratching anyways

It may not be a shop that is trying to mislead a customer, I think it maybe an uneducated shop that doesn't know the difference between ceramic, nano ceramic or carbon ect.

I have seen the ATC thing on their website before.  ATC is not a carbon film nor does Llumar have a carbon film.  Wincos is not a nano-ceramic, it is an IR film that outperforms most ceramic films.  With that being said, I have heard nothing but good things about Signature's quality along with a customer on here recently getting work there after being recommended.  As far as being legal, you would need to direct that to a lawyer.  I can tell you probably half of the shops in this industry mislead customers or flat out lie and this industry isn't the only one.

and also not wise to have just one of any important tool, i rarely buy one of anything, especially with shipping costs i try to get as much as i can into one shipment. 

I have both generations of the blue max and the first gen is harder than the second. With that being said the redline is stiffer than both gens of the bluemax. The blue maxes are inconsistent and that’s my biggest complaint with them. It removes a considerably larger amount of moisture then the bluemax for sure. I used to use the blue max before switching to the redline. I use the 1/4 cropped version as well. Order one and give it a shot, you won’t be disappointed I can assure you.

Best damn squeegee blade for auto hands down. Love mine. They glide across the film and remove ridiculous amounts of water as well. Take your current squeegee and do an initial pass then follow up with the redline and see for yourself! I used to use a little softer squeegee for rear windows but have the redline a shot for the last few I have done and it’s awesome!! 

As a reverse roller I still think frankie wins if you got i down right.  Most people I've seen frankie are really good tinters  Like the shop I trained at some guy that frankied only tinted like 2-3 years and never seen anyone tint like him.  Just laugh when i hear tinters saying they been tint 20 years and they're the best.  Yep, but some can get there in a few years.

THe Prius has that problem . I squeeze an extra inch of tint into the sides so that when it rolls up crooked there’s no gap . It has to do with how I cut it to begin with . 

I mark one side on just about all rollups, unless its a BMW, Mercedes, where the glass doesnt budge. I do a quick pass and check the edge before locking it down...never get a gap since doing this last year. 
 

I just buy another one.  Tint tools are cheep.

I know I need to make more , I will have time soon ...... atleat when I do make another it will be alot easier . I had to figure out how to use video editing . It’s not that easy . At least I have that down now I can make the videos in 30 minutes or less

This is how I have done the ones that customers have asked for extra length on. Wax pencil marks at equal lengths on the sides. 
 
I then run a piece of masking tape as straight as I can (with the curve of course) and shrink as needed. This gives me a full length reference for setting things in place.

When you are doing a visor strip it sometimes sucks going back and forth with a tape measure my friend taught me to measure from the top and make several marks like 8 in 9 inch 10 inch and 11 inch say like four marks then you can just line the tint with a factory Edge on the two Sharpie lines and cut off the top when you install you just line up the tint to the line you picked it helps a lot on not going back and forth with a tape measure this is for hand cutting....

Yep, classic is way to go.  I must say that mustang suks to tint...i own one!

Classic black not only looks good but it lasts a long time.
