Sharpie side window trick..for shifting windows !

Have you ever finished a side window and there's a gap on the back or front when it rolls up well here is the trick lift the film and dry it make a circle on the window with a sharpie make sure it's a fat Sharpie and press the tint on it you will have a mark now when you're on the inside just line up the mark that's where it goes when you're done clean both sides with a little alcohol lines up perfect

Been doing that for years. Glad you figured it out though by thinking and continuing to think outside the box.

THe Prius has that problem . I squeeze an extra inch of tint into the sides so that when it rolls up crooked there’s no gap . It has to do with how I cut it to begin with .

I mark one side on just about all rollups, unless its a BMW, Mercedes, where the glass doesnt budge. I do a quick pass and check the edge before locking it down...never get a gap since doing this last year.
