Yeah I've been waiting on it! Wish they'd do a 55 in it too. Hell I've done 38 on the last 11 Windshields I've done... some new trend round here. Whatever... a rainy night and they'll be back to R&R Lighter and I get to say "told ya so"

Madico charcool works pretty good for most guys as far as price goes. Shrinks well. Ok clarity. SolarFX IRFX has best bang for your buck. But it's only offered to a 38 at the moment. And is too dark for a lot of customers. The rejector series comes in a 70% and performs well but does have minor hazing issues... gotta take the good with the bad unless you want to spend $$$ on high end films like crystalline or huper Ceramic. Both of which suck to install if you aren't familiar with em.

Agreed! And from area to area you may pay anywhere from low 3's to high 6's. Just depends on the brand of film they offer and the quality of install. Never go with cheapest price in my book
-
Find the most reputable installer in your area... sometimes a clean install is harder to find than quality film.... and if you're in it for the long haul find a dealer with a Ceramic line. Looks for llumar, 3m, huper, SolarFX, Johnson.

Yes marker your pattern for sure u less you're removing the pieces n which you can shift n cut. They take a min to adjust to but big money makers around here. Those and skid steers we do a lot of.

If SolarFX ships to U.K. I suggest to go that route! Toughest scratch coat I've seen. Takes heat like a champ and shrinks (haven't found anything I cant form it on). Beautiful color in every lineup. And probably the most aggressive adhesive you will find! @whitehog should be able to help u out! Best of luck!

It's gonna hold fragmented glass for the most part in a sheet.... and fall out from my experience. Did the front of a guys home workshop with 8mil. He ended up slinging a rock with the lawn mower and hit a panel. I used to have a pic of it but can't find it... looked like a poorly designed puzzle laying on the floor lol. Sealing it may or may not keep it attached to the window frame.... not too sure about that one

That looks awesome!

Man we're so busy I haven't gotten the first thing! We've been booked up 3 weeks out for a month. And this whole upcoming week I'm staring at 12-14 hour days to get all appointments done lol. Anyone near here wanna come tint and do lifts/wheels/tires for a week lol

Christmas is gonna kill me

I hear ya that's a good idea tho! While not the cheapest thing tinters use.... they give me so much piece of mind.

I've had 3 or 4 Chrysler products and 2 GMs have same issue. We use the soakshield products now and no more issues. I used to turn challenger Windshields away because of this. But those soak ropes make all the difference in the world! Wise investment if you do a lot of shields. We do a dozen or more a week and I wouldn't leave the shop without one.
what type of windshield film are you using?

I've always ran 50 on mine... went with 45 this go around. Paired with 10 all the way around it's a hair too much for me... had a guy call this morning offering double my shield job to put 5 on his... let him walk
