It’s not even money at this point. It’s principal.

That’s one thing I can say... payment was never an issue until that one time... and from then on out I got payment when I picked vehicle up. Not when I dropped it off. I have 3 other dealerships I do a lot of work for that don’t even flinch at my prices. Cuz we’ll lets face it they’re gonna triple it anyways so more I charge the more they make! But this shit with sending gravy to the fly by night asshole then call me for the shit that takes actual intelligence to complete isn’t gonna fly. I’m just curious if I shoulda handled it differently or if I’m justified in the outcome

Long story short(er). Used to work for this large dealership... Did their accessories and Tint work on the side. Brought them home literally every single night. Let them order and stock their own film. Cut prices.. went out full time for my self years past everything was peachy. Recently they send literally all the Tint work to the $99 guy down the road. Call me to fix screw ups. Stopped calling for spray in liners-also to another cheapo down the road-also call me for screw ups. Other than that in months and months the only calls I get is for the crap no one else knows how to do... in depth audio/video or esp remote starts on new vehicles. As bad as all that is they screwed me out of a grand at the beginning of the year! As long as I’ve been doing this I thought I’d protected myself from this sorta thing! Well finally had it and in a bit of a rage got a call from them wanting... you guess remote start. Told em I had no desire to do it nor the desire to conduct ANY business with them in the future. Got calls from management- expressed my many concerns and by the end of the conversation told em to F*** OFF! Did I screw up guys? Honestly? I stay 7-10 booked out through the entire year and further at Christmas and tax season... has anyone else hit a point where it wasn’t worth it with a dealership?

Do you mean 7- 40” rolls?

I clean flush... scrap flush.. wipe flush... scrub flush... then squeegee and flush. Old cars just suck! Or being here in Georgia. Red mud all in new trucks that play in the mud

Probably meant 7-40” rolls lol

Shop B doesn’t smell quite right... @DynamicATL even said. The price on Pinnacle is too low... look at this way we carry a line of film... guy 15 min down the road supposedly carries same line. I’m 30% higher on pricing across the board. My shop stays packed 90% of the time with as many repeat customers and new ones. Guy down the street is cheaper. Most of his clients are first time and last time customers. Usually someone that close in proximity charging that much more for the the same film has the confidence that THEY are worth it. Maybe not just the film. The installers. The sales team. The prep work. The quality of install and the customer service to back it up. Those are qualities no brand of film can touch. Shop A seems to be the go to

By lowering your price for “that” customer... you diminish your value and your worth. My price is my price. Friends and family get discounts... but as soon as someone says I’m High. Or can I do it cheaper... I tack 10% to the price. That usually does the trick

I used a sample of SolarFX not long ago and will probably end up switching to it soon. But it seemed to really shrink a lot easier than Express. That’s just my opinion though.
It definitely shrinks better than express. Smoother shrinks too without causing peanuts. Biggest thing about SolarFX I’ve noticed in over 2 years using it. Like @quality tintz said. Let the film cool off some before hammering it down. Also... take your heat gun a back it off some and blow heat under the Film then start your normal shrinking

Had a new Chevy Silverado today... same issue. Sprayed back glass (solid). Came back to scrub it and defrosters were running down the glass.

Just can’t bring myself to pay for one

Just let it cure. That’s completely normal. They will get smaller and more uniform as days go by until they’re gone

So seems as though I didn’t make the wrong decision... I definitely don’t need the work... and then being 35 min away it was more trouble than it was worth... more of a henderence than anything! Update tho-since telling me to F off my phone hasn’t stopped ringing... and the answer to every salesman has been... no. I’m sorry. No more explanation or excuses. Answer is no... was even contacted by the GM saying they needed me for work... told them I needed them to be honest and faithful and hung up
