no ma'am reacted to pitu in 2020 Range Rover Sport.
Tinted this one couple months ago. The rear passenger glass looks like this. Different from other side. I guess it changes colour when it hit the sun ? Is that normal ceramic tint though.

no ma'am reacted to Cooltimes in Opening new tint shop...need all the advice that I can get.
Xpel may not sell you film even though you paid for the training. This happened to a friend.
Llumar maybe the same way, not absolutely sure, this is what I was told .
Make sure they put it in writing that they will sell you their film after training.
Also some companys charge 2000k plus for a 3-4 day school. In my opinion these types of classes should never be sold because their is no way to be a productive and ready to go window tinter in a few days. Even though they give you a cert.
Work for a tint shop for at least 6 months to a year and then go out on your own. I wish some one would offer at least a 30 day school. This is more in touch with reality. Good luck and start off slow and easy. Their is also a lot of good youtube channels to learn from.

no ma'am got a reaction from TintDude in Cutting window seals, standard practice? 🤔
Bring it to him without the seals in it, no it isn’t the greatest install. Removals can really suck. I German cars cuz the doors suck lol! They always have! Even when they’re easy…. They still figure out someway to piss me off lol!

I haven’t cut those out personally but I will! Range Rovers older beemers are like that. You get em in there clean cutting em short or perhaps creating the perfect pattern and all the stars align and offer a sacrifice to the tint gods. Problem is you gotta do it 3 more times! Most of these cars windows seals and motors are junk to start with (sadly). They’re super tight on the sides but still shifty? Wasn’t a seal puller until Audi ditched felt on the side seals. Then the easier looking all rubber gasketed doors became a giant pain. All the way around the car. Zero easy windows.

no ma'am got a reaction from Bham in How do you track film usage/waste?
We have a scale at work and I haven’t really trusted that system. And the plotter means little if they can hand cut.

Price will be relative to your area. My rule of guesstimation to add 60% to the cost of a good HP (high performance) film to find the cost of a good ceramic, +/- a few dollars for difficulty or lack thereof.
I would shame him into making it right with "I know you can do better, please make this right so that I can go away.". And if he can't, then reach out to the shop owner for resolution.
Those cars are not that difficult, so my guess is that he might be a rookie or was rushing to punch out a schedule. Doesn't make him a bad guy, but it will give him plenty of practice in removal and customer relations.

^^^ That's alot of film, nice work. I usually try not to do roofs for fear of water discoloring the headliner.
RnR 18% ceramic fronts and visor,
18" H/F and around 6hours of dent pushing. That thing was tuned and angry.

no ma'am reacted to someguynamedmat in 2021 Corvette door panel removal
For those who pull seals, these are very similar to the new silverado/sierra door panels that should be removed and take all of 3 minutes or less to pull the panel and accompanying seal.
Tools 7mm or 9/32 docket, driver, T-27 and pick.
1) Remove the cover in the pull.
2) remove 2 T-27 torn screws at bottom of panel
3) remove 2 7mm bolts in door pull
4) grasp upper rear corner of door panel and gently pull to reveal seal
5) pull seal.
Installation is reverse of install
