Not going to work on a daily basis with a film that doesn't work with me.  Much like, I am NOT going to work with people who are not going to work with me. 
 
Why be miserable at work.  More time of your life spent there than at home, so NO WAY I am going to be miserable at work.    

I'd have to disagree with that... and maybe it's different with FG films... but there are films I would never work with on a daily basis. Here and there - ok.. but every day? Nope. Not installer friendly and more headaches then it's worth. I'd change shops if that happened.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

some dude called me asking for me to tint his car with some tint he purchased......AND.....he even got tools I can use !
 
how can I turn that down ?

I think for the most part we can adjust to the film we are or have to use, just a learning curve. Now of course we're all gonna have our preferred film, but for the right price yes sir boss whatever you say.

Tint your neighbors car for free, ask if it'll ease the pain. 

Signed on a rent house with the 2 car garage baby  back where I was 3 years ago  at least this time I've got film and glass

I'm all in with the extended cab Nissan with some fx carbon 35 20. 

I see your dookie brown Silverado, and raise you a 2004 BMW 5 Series tinted in PP35 and double coated with AFC35....
 
 

Sure I can't sway you with a dookie brown Silverado tinted with FXPM25? As a bonus it has genuine bird shit cascading down the fender and mirror!
 

So into today's episode of fuckery...we are slammed in the morning with a bunch of customers.  Two of the later tint customers show up early at the same time plus about 8 people in line for lighting.  So I am running around with the tint customers, and the guy keeps wanting to add stuff and ends up having a camper on the truck.  So I finally get done with him, the 2nd tint customer is easy so wrap with in him about 5 minutes.  So while I am pulling cars around, getting numbers, etc we have one guy in the front helping all the lighting customers.  So the 2nd in line I already helped, product is ready to be rung up...just that our guy is in middle of checking out the customer in front of him getting a lot of stuff.  So there is a guy that comes in and asking questions from the side.  Then tries to slip next in line and when the customer says he is line, the guy starts yelling at him.  So our guy jumps on him like yeah, he was next in line...you were standing on the side and trying to slide in.  So through the rest of the process the customer has an attitude to the point our guy tells him he can get the "f" outta here with that attitude.  The customer goes outside and comes back in with a complete different calm attitude.

Films free sir ! I'm charging for my skill set

Had a customer say that's unrealistic when he got a quote for pinnacle on his m5  I'm sorry you can't afford us fake rich guy!  he would have  himself if he got the stratos quote with a windshield! Play pimping ass beemer driver!

The dealer that quoted him that price has a tint farm; basically they have 8 tinters over there and they’ll probably have 1 guy on each window but they only have one guy on staff that can shrink the back window. I’m a one man show and there’s no way in hell I’m touching it for less than $1k, I do standard 4 door cars for more than $500 in Crystalline

I try to price it so they don’t want to do it. I charge 150 back glass and 30 a door and still can’t get them to say no. Hate removals.

ROFL, I do the same...drives them nuts.  Atleast the Demon they went back to the drawing board to make it fast.  Hellcat/SRT models are slow AF with all that weight.  I don't get many anymore, but the Dodge Neon SRT4's too.  Yes, I have a SRT4...so a Neon?  

If you want to see their head exploded remind them that Fiat owns Chrysler
