Windows - Easily pull out sweeps, just take out the screw on outside of panel towards you. - no need to snap/heat shrink whatsoever! Super easy BG - piece of cake! - i didnt pull the rear deck, i just took my olfa and cut the rubber pieces that stuck to the bg. It was still a little rough to get behind there with a bulldozer, but came out clean! Overall Difficulty: 1/5! one of the easiest cars i've done.

On the Milan, there is a bunch of gasket covering the quarters. I did one yesterday (not the first one I have done) and was curious if anyone knew an easy way of getting the gasket out. It looked like it would come out easily, but I had no luck, and wasn't willing to spend a lot of time on it, but it does look kinda crappy with the whole quarter not tinted. Are the Ford 500/Taurus the same way? I can't remember.

The panels come off rather easy, but heres a heads up. Behind the cougar emblem, theres a philips head screw. Below that, theres a round clip with another one in it. Theres two torx screws on the edge, and one on the inside edge. On the inside corner towards the near the bottom, theres another torx behind the clip. After that they practically fall off. Easy car.

Simple car, but very tall. Get your ladder out to reach the back window for cleaning/shrinking. No need to remove the entire door panel on this one. Just remove the screws near the top of the panel, and pull back on the top to release one compression clip near the center. The gasket just slides out then, kinda like the Dodge trucks from the late '90s. The back glass is easy to get at from the inside, and easy to shrink, except for the fact that I had to basically sit on the trunk to reach the whole thing. The trunk lid came up to my chest, and the roofline was nearly taller than me.

I have a 2000 mercury mystique to tint and the rear seat does not lay down so that I can get the rear deck tray out the light is attached to the tray and the tray itself is about 2" up on the glass at the base all around it. so installing it like this would be a there are 2 metal clips I have released those and I pryed the seat foward enough to remove the plastice buttons holding the front of the tray but still no luck any help would be appreciated. maybe there is something I overlooked.

I have always had a fit with these. Both Fords and Mercurys. This one happened to be a 96 Marquis. It comes out just fine...just two screws...but those dumb plastic things that hold the screws want to slide out of positon on the plastic teethy things and I can never align them correctly to get the screws back in. I fought it for at least twenty minutes today. Finally I took the slider piece with the screw hole completely out and stuck them up in the light itself, screwed them in and was miraculously able to slide them back in all as one unit. But naturally I had forgotten to plug the stupid thing in so I had to start all over. ...Not without some severe cussing. Is th…
