so, is the cause mistake of installer or film quality?

Ollllld thread, but more relative today than ever. Could be the film, could be the installer. Defects are that way everytime whether on w/s or any other window.

Today there are many more lighter film choices that seem to be working on windshields. The legality stance is the more common topic anymore.

If your state no longer utilizes inspection stickers films like LL's AIR 80 are basically undetectable and many here are performing these installs. If you have to cut around stickers due to inspection/locality etc. you can see the film edge if the cut is away and not right on stickers border.

Some guys heat or steam the stickers to loosen adhesive and remove without damage, laminate the sticker in PPF, tint the w/s and then place laminated sticker back in place as the PPF works the same as static cling film. This works as an option for some with the inspection/locality issues.
