Global and Fading

Recommended Posts

I remember years ago Global film had a lot of complaints in regards to the film turning purple in as little as a year. For those that have been using the film for the last several years, have you experienced any fading/discoloration? I want to give QDP a try but I don't want to deal with a bunch of warranties in a years time for fading

You sure you are talking about Global?  To date I have not seen one post about failure with Global film.  Not just on here, but anywhere.

I'm not specifically just talking about on here but in general from other places that have used Global here in the UK

Also we do get a few matches when googling fading on Global from this site but these problems seem to be very old, prior to 2011. Just thought id see what it's like now and it seems good because I see nothing but praise on this forum about it. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=global+fading+tintdude+site:www.tintdude.com&prmd=insv&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiL-J2lzqbWAhVNaVAKHbFJAXMQrQIILCgEMAA&biw=360&bih=616

On the very first link there's only about two member's that are still active here. Those two still use global to this day. I'm not saying there may have not been some isolated incidents but generally speaking it's a great film that will last. Oh and not to mention Howard chimed in and said they've had no such claims.

I can clear this up...that is my post about Global. I got the film from a Global Dealer locally that is no longer selling Global.  Howard from EWF doubted if it was really Global and wanted a roll number, since it faded so quickly.  That Global dealer also sold a cheap dye and im positive that it was i got.

As far a logevity, Global can not be beat.  Ive had EWF Classic Black for about 5 years on my personal vehicle and it has zero fading, no color change and having a strong scratch coat it has not one scratch!
