it is not soft. the black is a cleaning blade. could be used for cleaning i suppose, but is designed to remove moisture. you been doing this a long time, i am sure you will figure what works for you

I my opinion, Titan is great if used wet only. If you dint wet the inside of the window and heat an area on the outside, it will melt or make the soft red rubber disintegrate and mar the tool and round it off thus wearing it out.

I don't think your supposed to use any rubber squeegee without some moisture involved. Maybe i misunderstood what you're saying.
