Small Miscut, update photos.

Recommended Posts

Welp, I think I'm just going to go back and ask for a removal and refund. After I got my car back last time it had a pretty strong chemical odor for a few days, what is the standard removal procedure?

Anyway, the initial miscut window now has a noticeably larger gap to the top than any other window (I know it's out of focus but I think the issue can still be seen). The quarter they replaced that had a massive hair now has tons of debris spots and a ragged edge.

Hampton Roads area of VA, and looking for recommendations for a good tinter in the area.

Start searching out installers and not film as much. As you can see just because it's a name brand film doesn't mean quality comes into play.

Dont see why they would be using adhesive remover to remove new film?? That gap!!! Either his slip is weak and it stuck quick or he didnt heat the top edge before rolling it up.

On a new tint, what would be used instead of adhesive remover? Just steam?

On newer film, (not windows with defrost) I’ll let the car sit out side and get hot, (it’s usually upper 90’s here now) then pull a corner and see how it’s gonna come off. If it starts to leave a lot of glue, I’ll pull it in and try steam, last resort is to razor all the glue off with my slip. ( again not back glass)

for back glass, I usually bag it with “Tint-Off” let it soak and pull it off. I use the tint off to remove any glue left on back glass with a scrub pad. But you can try to steam the back glass and sometimes you get lucky, with a clean removal.

@Barcode

What film did they install? Sry just remembered

LULU has some tough glue, so they’ll probably need something to help, but only on back glass.
