Why do I do this to myself??? I let folks talk me into booking their cars new years day. The first one for 8 am didnt show until 10 am. Fortunately one of my xmas paid jobs showed up. However....the other cars scheduled have not showed up and havent even called. NEVER AGAIN
I even had folks talked me into booking them Christmas Eve plus I also turn down work I could have done Christmas Eve for other folks. I arrived Christmas Eve to work and absolutely no one showed up! People are so unreliable these days yet they will gripe about small business people not being open and available to them whenever they want. I've done my time through the years at the cost of my health sanity and two marriages. NO MORE HOLIDAYS FOR A N Y O N E. I dont care if they go elsewhere....GO!!! No more skin off my nose.

TNTLady reacted to no ma'am in Messed up twice already
Don't squeegee towards the bottom, squeegee along the bottom. And if you lay it up outside wet and stretch it out right you should only have fingers up top in the dots to shrink. Hardest part of the window is laying it and cutting the defrost tabs out right.

TNTLady reacted to Ryker in Opinion on these scratches after getting window tinted
I wouldn't accept that on any year vehicle. That is just negligence on the part of the tint shop! New windows it has to be too!

TNTLady got a reaction from TintDude in 2019 Lexus ES 350
Door panels are easy to pop loose at the top after removing the phillips screw behind a small cover just behind thedoor handle. No need to remove entire door panel. Then the window sweep can be pulled out easily for bottom loading. Third brake light moves to right and removes easily. This car is a piece of cake!

TNTLady reacted to CaliTINT in Sedan vs Crossover pricing
Agreed. I price crossovers the same as sedans. I think most of the time many crossovers are way easier and use a bit less material (back window) than a sedan.
On another note, for most coupes and sedans I also price those the same. I feel like on average, most of the back windows on coupes are a bit bigger and more difficult to shrink. Also, the front side window door windows are a bit longer and on some cars frameless. So for simplicity I charge them the same. I don't count windows that much more on cars anymore unless maybe bump the price up a bit for a car than has 9 windows versus 5-7. And I hardly play the how many windows game with customers because many time they act like we shouldn't be charging extra for the small windows even though we all know some of them are PITA!

TNTLady reacted to pbalentine in Sedan vs Crossover pricing
Seems many still price them much more. IMO, this is pricing from over 10 years ago when SUVs had 9 windows and required a 22” roll for rollups. Did an 19’ Equinox the other day and pulled a 40” roll slightly larger than the BG. Then used the fall off for both rear rollups.

TNTLady reacted to pbalentine in Sedan vs Crossover pricing
I decided to price all 4 door sedans and crossover SUVs with 7 - windows the same price. Theres just a lot more SUVs now with 7 windows instead of 9. Just dont see the point in charging more for a crossover when it the same amount of film or less than a sedan and i dont have to crawl in a back seat. What do you guys think??

Morning ever E body How's that breakfast pie @Roach
Saved by the third brake light. Good customer calls about redoing the rear glass that has bubbled up and gone bad. I thought it was the ASWF crap that I had gotten screwed by, but as it turns out, this is one car I actually didn't tint for this guy. The cut out third brake light was a dead give away that I didn't tint this car. You gotta pay for this redo Sir.

Just barely touched the posts on the defroster on a 2010 Mustang and both of them popped right off the glass.

TNTLady reacted to Bham in Math not possible?
All of this only gets WORSE when they start wanting to match the color of the rear factory glass. Outside in is one thing, but inside out always makes them complain. (Toyota yellow glass on the front doors is my biggest headache in this department )
juss sayin

So I got a 2018 e class coming on Sunday. I did some research on the topic and found out that there are keyless go antennas in doors, in the trunk and under the hood. Now I don't think that getting antennas wet would make these problems. But there is also a keyless go control module located in the right quarter panel under those hard covers and I think that it could get wet easily while doing the back glass, and I think that is making problems. I will try removing those covers and wrapping the module with something so that it doesn't get wet. I will let you know how it goes. If anyone has any new info on the topic I would appreciate it. I have attached picture of that module
