I checked outs some pics and they’re framless, so no need to pull it. I usually only pull framless if the felt is falling apart.

I hate audi’s...priced really high and got stuck with it. Seems panels just have to come off these. Anyone got info I how to ripps these off? Also, read it might need felt?? If it does thats a no go. I dont carry felt for the fact that not many cars need it.

2016 coupe.
The film could easily be removed from that without damage. I would redo the entire vehicle. They’ll probably give you a better deal doing the entire vehicle, at least I do. I actually removed the 2 fronts yesterday on a 2000 Lexus GL400(had purple limo all around) I knew better to not try an upsell the back half of that, because all of it would need to be razored off!

I think what happens is I’ll get contamination and I’ll blame the tool. Then do the same with that new tool. There are a dozen tools to clean with and none are really a whole lot better than the other. Just got to settle on one and forget it.
I was stoked to see that the orange cruwh blade can go into a hard card sharpener. It made the blade sharper than a new one.

After using the orange crush for months Im over it. Even retried the pink clean and that one should never be used in auto tinting. The orange crush just takes too much effort, plus it leaves streaks. Only using orange for bg now. IMO using the unger is less effort, most cost effective and cleans better than anything. Im done trying new tools....I would of been better stickng to one tool than going back and forth over the years.

thats it.......just go in and let them know your ready to start!
Show up when their tinter is at lunch. To show them your skills...maybe tear off a panel and bomb drop or just start shrinking the bg if its really curvy. They’ll surely let the guy go and give you the job.

The panel no longer easily pops backs to get the seal out. I pulled the panel on one side and was able to pop the panel on the other. If you only pop it, be cafefull the black clips at the top edge dont fall in the door. Those top clips are so damn tight. Ive never removed a panel that was this tight at the top ever. Heres what you remove: 1 - 7mm behind handle and 1 - 7mm behind interior panel (below the switch cover).
-
You need the panel off to get the seal out. I tried on one a little and its not worth it. 2 -10mm and 2-7mm at the bottom edge and its off.

Thats me every 7-10 cars....want to blow up the car and toss everything!!

Those wanting to tint see the tools and think it looks fun and its a cheap start up. You need tools often and theres much more that you need than tools. To learn on your own might take 3x longer than getting trained at a shop. If you are looking for and easy business that wont frustrate you...you’re looking into the wrong trade.

Just got lift lip of the panel to get the seals out.

Never really have a problem, especially since panels are off most the time. If it does gets wet, I wipe it down right after positioning the film, then squeegee it out.
-
I price these high to avoid them. Just to much of a pain...cant learn to tint something I’ll see every few years.

Anything Kia......lovely.
Kia, Nissan and Hyundai practically fall off after the screws/bolts are removed.

Its the regular green turbo. I only use the orange to clean too. If the pink clean outlasts the orange crush or is close to it, i may start using it on rollups instead.

I've tried almost every color turbo or similar squeegee and they all suck IMO. Nothing beats the yellow
I guess thats why the yellow is the most popular. I want to get the pink clean in the hamd holder again. I tossed it and tried to break it months back, but recently tried it again and like it. Going to use that for 1/4s and ones that are real small Im not squeegeeing; just wipe and flush.

im done using turbos. Just trashed the remaing black ones. I’ll let the green one sit in a box with the other useless tools I collect.

Just got the green turbo, which I really wanted to try out. At first glance it looked great(flexes like black & feels like yellow) but the edge is slightly uneven in a few spots and rounded some. I called about it and they said its a common complaint and all the green turbos have it. I mainly use turbos to clean small 1/4s, but not going to be confident the window is getting clean if the blade is dull and uneven from the get go. The blacks always have a good edge. I did get yellow way, way back that was much worsre and is the reason I never used them much.

Forget doing everything with a turbo. Too much wear on your arm and i dont feel like those push enough solution out for install. Just watched a video a few days ago of an old tinter saying there bad on the finger tips and many fazed them out. Those dont even comare to a handle squeegee imo.
I actually just got the green turbo today, looks good! Flexes like a black, but its slick like the yellow. These will only be used on 1/4s. For rollups I clean with a orange crush and install with blue max & ez reach. For the BG I add in either the bulldozer or stroke doctor.
I would find what you like and put the rest hidden away. Then go back to it if the tool you’re using is working.

Probably not two layers just 1 multilayer film. Could be factory glass plus film though
Probably does have privacy glass. I always discourage 5% over privacy glass, unless its really light.

Actually the old ones are meant to have the gaskets un-clipped from the panels first. You put the gasket on and then snap the door panel into them.
I wanted to thank you for the tip. Did a 17 Chrysler 300 yesterday and did this for the panels. Thanks!

Got a scratch yesterday Im sure was from a nick in my bluemax. I think it might be getting scratched from the defrosters on the bg when I push to clean. I was using using one squegee just for cleaning the bg and one for install...going to do that again. After using the orange crush I will say the edge is still sharp and these really last way longer than blumax.

It turned out to be the coupe! I used the leftover film from the bg for the side 1/4s. The fronts easily slide down to install. If you want the panels off theres a couple T25s behind a large intetior piece around the door handle and one thats visible under the arm rest.
