Lock got a reaction from TintDude in Back windows causing peanuts?
PSA You may want to think twice before backblading on a Challenger( and probably chargers and 300s for that matter).
I tried this method on a small area of a challenger and sure enough there were very light scratch marks.
This may work well on many vehicles but those of us that work on these mopar glass vehicles regularly, know that their glass seems to be very soft.
You may not notice it at a glance but if you look closely you'll see them.
*You've been warned*

Lock got a reaction from TintDude in Use gloss black nail polish for small light gaps!!!
Totally agree! I've blacked out a few party busses over the past couple years and the latest one I did I used some puffy paint and it turned out the best.

Lock got a reaction from quality tintz in Cleaning spray bottles and tanks from baby shampoo
I use baby shampoo and I don't wash my bottles out. I've found that as long as I dump my bottles out and tip them upside down each night, I don't get any nasty build up.
If you let them sit overnight, especially when it's hot and humid, you'll have gunk built up in no time.

Lock got a reaction from quality tintz in Razor blade or scrubby pad or both?
Gator blade for the side windows. Scotch brite non scratch pads for back glass. Only use SS blades for stickers or any other stubborn foreign substance.

Never had a paint pen dry out or be thick. Puffy paint is the best thing ever to cover small gaps such as old slider windows. It is only a buck too.
I had black nail polish 17 years ago and only used it a couple times.

Lock got a reaction from flipflopless in What music are you listening to while working?
For me, good music sure makes the day go by quicker.
You can usually catch me jamming out to Avenge Sevenfold, Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin.
How about you guys?

Lock reacted to The ///Man in 2017 civic hatchback
Here's the removal if it helps anyone.
This was about the hardest part to not damage. These little clip things need to be pushed from the sides but they are tight and stretched a bit. Mine were a little loose when I put it back together, but maybe next time I can get it a little better since I can see the clips.
Pop off the covers on the handles and remove these bolts.
These clips also
From there you can pop off the plastic panel.
Next are the bolts for the brake lights.
There is a clip that keeps it attached. It takes a little muscle to release but I don't think you can really break anything pulling.
There is the white panel across the back next that is bolted on.
I think this is the spoiler bolt in the middle
The side spoiler bolts.
Wiper bolts.

Lock reacted to FehrTintGuy in 2012 Ford Focus Hatchback
Did a 2014 focus hatchback today. Pretty simple install for the roll ups. Rear window I removed the spoiler to lay the tint down for shrinking. Remove the centre trim piece, 3 bolts to undue. 2 more screws on each side and it slides right out. Quick and simple install.

Lock got a reaction from DynamicATL in Reasonable defects following paint protection film installation?
When I'm the consumer and something sounds too good to be true, I know it probably is. So if someone tells me they will do an absolute perfect job everytime, I know they are full of $h!t
I wonder if these guys who preach perfection have ever had a single comeback? Also if the comeback had one minut imperfection on the entire bumper, would they redo the entire bumper? Don't answer because I know what you would say on a forum would be different than a real life scenario.
