I've used it more than i ever used my gasket wizards and I've had them 15 years

If i can't just pull back the top and pull the seal out easily, i use the Xpel EZ-Tint tool to bottom load. I used to use the Gasket Wizard every now and then but one day i tried this, another new tool, and actually liked it instead of just being distracted by it (you know the deal with that lol). They should make a small, mini or short 6" version with more bend for tuckers because the notch on the ends open the vertical rubber pretty decent when needed.

yeah, I just had to change a few things up this year. I'm getting old and I was realizing how much more time it was taking me to remove and re install seals and door panels especially on certain types of vehicles. It only makes sense to charge a little bit extra for the time it takes to do the job you want to do it. Even an extra 25.00 to yank seals out that only takes an extra 2-5 minutes can help out in paying over head and stuff like that in the long run. sometimes I will charge an extra 50.00 - 100.00 for door panel removal and reinstall, all it comes down to is how much longer is it going to take you and charge accordingly.
I even have large wall stopwatch clocks mounted in my bay to time my jobs. If someone is only paying me for an hour and a half of my time then I definitely keep an eye on the clock and make sure I get it out the door within that time they are paying me for. I'm busy enough so I don't need to be bending over backwards for cheap customers anymore and spending twice as long on their vehicles than what they are paying me for while they sit and wait then have the nerve to keep asking me how much long longer until it's done. so annoying.

Cool idea for making the bottom load an upsell.

I used to pull seals out and remove panels on pretty much everything, now I offer the customer to do the installation one or two ways, top load or bottom load. They are gonna pay me more for any removal and reinstall but get a way higher quality job with less prone to peeling. If they want to be cheap then so be it. I tuck it and out the door it goes. No warranty for peeling from the bottom and if there's a little extra dirt in the installation or creases from doing the tucking method then you get what you pay for. time is money, if anything peels from the bottom I charge a fee for doing it the way I wanted to do it the first time. No more free bee's around here.

quality tintz reacted to Tint Slayer in Slip tape on a blue max squeegee???
It'll void the warranty on the BlueMax

quality tintz reacted to no ma'am in Messed up twice already
Don't squeegee towards the bottom, squeegee along the bottom. And if you lay it up outside wet and stretch it out right you should only have fingers up top in the dots to shrink. Hardest part of the window is laying it and cutting the defrost tabs out right.

I use it and once the edge wears I re-position the tape, you get more mileage out of a single strip.

"No chances of scratches..." Yep until it gets a speck in it then it will be just like any squeegee blade.

quality tintz reacted to PJF in Slip Tape for Squeegee
Definitely not cheap, but those that are using it seem to love it.

Unless you use a film with a more robust SR coating do not use this tape without slip solution; you do risk scratching. It will also scratch PPF, lowE films and exterior film with anti-smudge coatings. What many sellers offer is a thin tape that wears out too quick when used; there are 3-5 mil versions available if you hunt the net well for them (try carpenter or cabinet building supply; the product is designed to assist in drawer glide). What I found nice about using Teflon-coated tape is you do not need spray the film surface to squeegee when installing LLumar's Air 80 to windscreens.

quality tintz reacted to midnighttinting in Frankenstein or reverse roll ???
A good tip is to clean your peel board and the film. I like to wipe the edge of the film 6-8 inches I normally don’t clean the middle of the film. When getting to the end of rolling, let the last 8 inches hang and relax, then slowly slip the liner out. Watch it closely. If it touches the glass, shoot that area down with water. Then finish install.

That yellow turbo just doenst glide well IMO for cleaning. I went back to the unger for sides. Less effort than any tool and i can throw a sharp blade in it quickly with little cost. Key is a sharp a blade rather than durometer, which mainly effects how it glides. No contamination will float under a sharp blade.
I searched durometers and here theyre are in order from softest:
Green - 80
Black - 82
Green - 82 (Has the flexibiliy of the black and the consistency of the yellow).
Yellow - 85

The back glass and windshields are the only places I don't use turbos. An Unger handle with a black smoothie channel for cleaning and first install pass. Keep in mind, never push after installing film when using an Unger handle with a black smoothie channel, always pull. A slip when pushing will most always destroy your film! Then a BlueMax in an Unger handle for the water removal pass, then wrap it in a blue towel for the final pass. Bottoms are done with whatever is needed to remove all water properly (a multitude of tools)
I use the yellow turbo and red turbo to install doors and quarters.

I was just looking at green turbos the other day. Seems there are two versions...one at 80 durometer and one at about 85. Its the harder one you want. The black its at 80-82 and IMO is too soft. Im getting the harder greens ones next.
Tintslayer, i have the same box of tools..hahah!! Thanks for mentioning the turbo in a handle. Gonna give that a try.

I'm looking at my new tool pile or aka the "i buy stuff, try it, then don't use it" pile, i have a green turbo (not the Fusion) and used it a few times for cleaning and liked it and not sure why i stopped using it. I saw someone in the FB groups put the green turbo in an unger handle and used it that way.
