Cake job Hex bolt behind the door handle. Remove the pushpins on the back edges of the panels. The top of the panel pulls back and you can remove the gasket. Also the gasket all the way around the sides and top pulls out to give you more room on the edges. Back window is cake also...no dot matrix just lines. If you need help from there then don't ask me.

hi guys - we need your help, we recently tinted the only 04 grand prix sold into the uk (bought by an american airman based here) everything went fine. However we removed the door cards to do a real pucka job, everything came off so easily but the clips holding the small panel around each door handle just crumbled up and no way would they go back. spent two hours chasing every local posible supplier and no one has seen a clip like it. it grips in the inside and outside. the customer was ok but we still need to sort him some clips. the customer phoned me today and has been told that you cannot by the clips without buying the panel each cost USD 7. 50 (x4) . it sounds…

I know I'm asking for it by even starting this, but here it goes: I have done a total of maybe 5 of these. 2 or three back in 97 - 98, one in 99 then NONE until today. This car had no defrost either. The previous ones was back when I wet shrunk film. So here it is: Right and left corners flipping down, it's about 90 degrees it the shop at this time so the 2 corners (right behind the bottom of the strut) have very small fingers that are going about three directions already tacky.. Heat on the outside + blue max = crease (x) me getting hot at 4:45 Friday afternoon = rip it off and tell them to come back another time. There is no way in hell I will 2 peice this car!!

Help needed to coil terminal
by Guest Pontiac-Japan- 7 replies

Must the coil terminal be replaced regularly? In this case replacement interval? Do anyone know the price of this part for a Pontiac TransSport made 1993? In some case shakes during driving with about 90km/h (about 50mls/h) according to problems with this coil terminal. One electrical specialist has checked it, it has not the full range of voltage (about 7-10V). With have replaced it into another used part, better than before, but not good enough. One dealer here in Germany told us, coil terminal cost about 450USD! We have only Haynes Manual, but no details about service of this part (for someone who need pic: Haynes/ Chapter 5/ Pic 6.24). Is here anyone working at Po…

help please
by Guest newtinter- 4 replies

I just started tinting the windows on a friends 99 gtp 2-door and got stuck once I got to the front rollups. I noticed that the gaskets seem to be very unforgiving and that heat shrinking is also required. On other jobs I have done I managed to shrink from the inside as I was applying and it worked fine but not on this car. Do you need to shrink from the outside and if so how do you do that since the bottom extends past the bottom gasket so it can be tucked later. I am sure this sounds like kind of a stupid problem but hey just as my name says I am new to this. Thanks for any and all help.

does 301 have Water pump divider plate?
by Guest poncho79- 2 replies
- 3.3k views
Just picked up a 1979 catalina with a 301 2bbl. car was overheating but had no heat. after flushing system, refilled radiator and found NO flow at all. thought water pump shaft was broken but found it ok. It has the cooling inserts but on plate. I know the 400 has this plate and that without it, the car will overheat. Since this is my first time into a 301, I don't know if it is supposed to be there. If so, does it have to be a 301 plate or can any pontiac plate work. Thanks in advance for any help or info. Jay 79 Catalina

just wondering what people do around the defroster lines along the side of the glass on these. they're stupid, stick out like 1/4 of an inch from the glass and about 1-2 inches from the side. just curious what people do to cut around them

I know we talked about this on the other board but......I stopped and looked at one on the lot today, no more felt seals on the sides its rubber, and the backglass is quite a bit flatter than the previous model, bottoms a tight fit, but will be ok if you have a squeege that can reach there. all the ones I saw didnt have a breaklight in the deck either looks like a easy tintjob for once

'04 grand prix 4 door 1 2
by Guest Zrok- 10 replies

this car looks easy enough.....YEAH RIGHT....ok, it's not bad, but the back window is damn near 36" tall, really wide slopes like my grandma's back, there's NO room to get the water out ...too close to the back deck, I recommend takin it out.. the fromt doors have this little humpy thing in the front lower corner that makes 'stuffing' the film down there a challenge at best...the only good thing, is that the big ass rubbers on the edges of the doors have......NO FELT WOOO HOOO...it's all loose ass rubber. GREAT finished product. notta bad car to do, but it's on my bite my tongue and save the cuss words list...a slight test of patience btw, the back glass is flat as he…
