This has been a sore point for me as I have 2 Nissan dealers and do A LOT of Altima's. Beginning of this year I was using Madico Charcool and had maybe 1 or 2 peanuts on the bg of the 4 doors. Switched to JWF Greystone and was battling about 6-8 per bg, then to EWF TB and had about 3 or so. I've been using TB since and always dread doing an Altima. Last week the dealer gave me 4 Altima's to do. First one I did in TB 20% and sure enough, even scrubbing the heck out of the problem areas with 00 steel wool, STILL getting the dang peanuts. So on a whim, I used a comped roll of Value Tint Sirius 20%, scrubbed as usual and NO PEANUTS! Needless to say, I did the remaining Altima's with the VT and had zero issues. I think this film has a better adhesive that sticks quicker and it might be a bit thinner. No issues on the coupe either. Then I did another Altima coupe with TB 5% and had no problems! I do know that Nissan changed the design of the defroster grids on both the Altima and Maxima for 2011, so that they start out thick near the sides and thin out about 5" in. Peanuts will always be within the first 3-5 inches from the sides. The bottom right side of that bg has 3 thick lines just less than a quarter inch apart and thats a sore spot for peanuts as is one of the first lines near the top that has 2 lines very close together.

Thats exactly where the peanuts were, about 5 inches in around the middle bottom.

I went back to the customer house the other day and they layed down down fine....3 days later.... :lol

I hope this film works out, I just can't stand to do anymore work on backglass. I like it when i can squeege once, get out of the back see and be done with it.

Try SG/ GALX this film is peanut proof film.....I stock lots of top name auto film brands, Galaxey works best with other peanuts "sh8t" filled rears windows :D......I get sick of standing next to an Altima for 1 hour...no time for peanuts time is money.

Hmm...i would think that using sand paper would scratch up the actual glass...does anyone know what is the roughest grit u can use without running into this problem?? this is more of a "FYI" question.

I do about 50 of these a month along with about 25 of the coupes. For some reason I never get peanuts on the coupes. I notice it on the 4doors and mostly on the 11's. I use Llumar ATR but have had the same problem with Solar Gard and 3M on these. I don't really have any tricks. I just squeegee hard especially toward the bottom lines as this is where it seems to happen most. I'll usually have only 2 or 3 peanuts and heat them out. Sometimes I use a paper towel around my card to soak up some water. It still only takes me about an hour to do the car. I have the luxury of letting it sit all day before putting it out on the lot and checking it. Alot of times, especially in the cold, a peanut will pop up somewhere. So I will push it back down. IT sucks. This is the only problem with all the Nissans. Except the damn 370z vert back window..grrrrr

I use Madico Charcool an I steelwool the window stick it and just use my blue max and stop I don't do a final hard card on this window and every now and then I get a small peanut.

Without the final hard card, are you sure they aren't showing up when they are drying up? Sometimes I see them filled with water, then hard card and they come back empty so I heat them down. I can only assume if there are there and full of water, that they will be there and empty once it dries.
