Hi all so it was slow and I went to work at four seasons car wash doing tint.got ripped of 3 thousand dollars . In a month. Not only they stole from my family .they bait and switched every costumer that came in told them that it was 3m color stable.gave them warranty cards and made me put Sunteck dyed. Called them on it and then they didn't pay me for 40 cars.now I remember why I work for myself..just hurts.I need that money.

That sucks, but the very first vehicle that they wanted you to install the wrong film you should of left then.  I would take them to court and sue them.  If that is not a route you want to go, maybe contact a consumer affairs section of a news station.  This will atleast get the word out about the place and hopefully some of the customers get wind of it.

Yes it's alot of dough. Cause I told them that I didn't feel right about it . So the called the cops and I'm not aloud to go back. The cops said its a civil.That's what I get for standing up for the customers that were paying $289 for tint.I didn't know that they were doing it until I saw them take Suntek and put it in a 3m box. Was like this isn't 3m color stable it's to thin and it doesn't have the logo on it. Getting a hold of the labor board to get paid.

Post the car wash, pics, names so no fellow tinter gets put into the same position. Strike outside & tell everyone about what happened. Make them understand they will be out the $3k one way or another. Either they pay you & save some of their business or you just shut it down. Vegas mafia coming out lol.

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      Captain Obvious has two cents err senses to share: 1) The film should be removed and replaced, because it appears to have adhesive blemishes that shouldn't be there, and 2) The film should be reviewed/inspected once taken from the roll to avoid losing time and resources due to manufacturing issues. Little pieces not so much, but back glass and windscreen pieces ... definitely.

      I switched so long ago... first to KDS but they went away. NT are great though. I use a piece of white strapping material as a cutting buffer between the blade and glass. Some use a button but I didn't like the feel..

      Stratos 70 on windshield, what is this?

      I can't win with getting tint decent on the windshield. I had 3M on my F150 done twice and still has major defects. Recently did Stratos twice on my F350 and I see this granular spotted, texture pattern on the tint. It's super obvious in the corner here but also right in my view when driving. It's honestly hard to point out and show someone but when your driving and stuff is moving behind the windshield, it becomes more obvious. The lighting also matters. The first time I did the windshield, I had a two foot line on the windshield. Thinking it was tint, they removed the tint and it was apparently a defect in the Ford windshield. An issue between the laminated glass layers caused this big defect. So they removed the tint, I had Ford replace the windshield on a 2024 F350 but when the tint shop removed the tint, they made a bunch of micro scratches in the front windshield, probably from scrapping the glue off. I told them but I didn't care since Ford was replacing the windshield anyways. So if basically I'm trying to figure out what this texture stuff is and if I should have them replace or remove it. Replacing it might just have different issues but also afraid they will scratch the windshield.

      Need some help

      Never overlook the condition of the floor. Back when I did install, I used to mist the floor between the vehicle and the peel board. This is done between misting the window and walking toward the peel board to mist the pattern liner, peel liner and spray adhesive for install. Tacks any dust for the duration of each pattern install, so repeat each time a pattern is going to be installed.
