Illegal tint story out of the LA Times

"In the downtown Arts District one night, en route to a late dinner, I nearly mowed down a pedestrian in a black sweatshirt who was crossing in front of me as I turned left onto a darkened street.

That did it.

I opened my laptop the next morning and Googled “How to untint car windows.”

Which led me to Adan Hernandez of Nick’s Glass Tinting on Lincoln Boulevard in Santa Monica."

I was surprised how many tickets they wrote for the past year and a half or whatever... Something like 195k.... Which the cop claimed they didn't target people with dark tint.

I nearly mowed a pedestrian down wearing a black shirt on an unlit street. Oh yeah it was the window tint that did it. 

 

That's like just last week two bodybuilders died. Of course it was the steroids, nevermind the insulin and oxycotin they were taking.

My high school driver's ed teacher killed someone in a crosswalk, at night, turning left. Not tint related, but that's not an uncommon accident. I guess after that he gave up driving and decided to teach driving instead. Kind of an ironic penance I guess, but it really drove home the point to us students.

When i 1st started tinting it was 5% and i was pulling into a driveway in the outback and went thru the ditch at buddys house party and he was laughing/thank god nobody was there with a black shirt
