Drop whole pattern in after flushing down sides and bottom. For example if doing front passenger door. Start front down first and then feed back bottom behind rear seal, twist film clockwise until top lines up. Do not squeegee until positioned . Extra slip is helpful for me. And don't hang pattern over top edge.

The H does restrict the films movement some. I started out with H, but went to just a line across for years now.  What you can do is hold your hand along the side edge when doing the corners(same effect as H).  Bgs with a lot of curve ill start heating the side portion (corners) for a second then i use my hand to stretch the side flat.  Another thing i do is split the fingers along the bg before heating and make sure its not all in a corner. Corners are hardest, so push more to the midde to make them easier.

pbalentine got a reaction from Tint Slayer in Do certain films allow cleaner installs [AEGIS]? I would love to here your opinions. . .
Man, that Aegis is the worst film to remove. The adhesive when scraped leaves a thin layer and it smells so bad, that would be enough not to use it. The color doesnt match factory at all.  I point this out to customers and show them global afteward and theyre always impressed.  Check out EWF, Global or SolarFX. Aegis doesnt even compare.

    Edit:

Sorry, jumped the gun there...only read first paragraph. No film is gonna hide conatination better than another.  It does sound like moisture is hiding the contamination.  I first chisle specs down from looking from the inside, then once the vehicle is complete, i go back and look from the outside and get any remaining specs.

Did a 2000 4runner today! Hatch was one bolt under the strap. The bg needed no shrinking versus the newer i dry shrink bottom, wet shrink top. Damn door panels had those pins that audi or vw has where you have to push in the center pin to remove. 3 bolts per panel to pull.

Just beware of adhesive failure in the future.
Dawn or any dishwashing soap, is designed to break down chemicals and will cause premature adhesive failure.    It is destructive, just like ammonia

Did a 2012 Toyota 4Runner and bottom fed the rear glass that goes up/down.  I had the rear hatch in the upright position and just layed it in with no fuss, letting gravity help guide it. . Easiest rear roll down install by far for me.  Wish there were more hatch rear sliders out there.

Ya know i dont remember seeing the strap but have seen them.  The panel had 2 light cover switches ( one on each side that look just like dome lights) with a 10mm on each side.  2 bolts total.

Once i think i remembet certain vehciles i soon forget. Just too many.
I recently made a list of vehicles I charge more on, cause i just hate giving regular pricing on these.

Whenever a customer states they remove the film, we remind them that film is only part of the removal and that the glue has to be removed too.  If not, there will be a charge which can be the same amount or even higher than our normal removal charge.  Had a customer last week removing tint from only the rear window because he didn't want to pay the $150 we charge.  So he did it himself, shredded the film everywhere requiring a full scrape.  Explained it to him that he actually made the job much worse and we would now $250 to remove it, but recommended him just to buy a new rear glass since it will come out cleaner.

Had a guy one time say, I tooks off the tint for you on the front doors for you.  Great, now i have to scrap glue from the entire window.  The worst is if they remove a small patch in a bubbled back window. Now, i'll add more if they mention theyre taking it off and for those turd bombs with tint only on bg, cause they couldnt get it off, charge for it.
