  1. I would love to have one of these done this nice.
  2. I would check out this thread. Sorry
  3. No of course not, but you never specified in your vague opening statement what type of install it was. Reveals can look awesome done correctly, not on just one window but you get what I mean, and it would be way easier to drop one piece on a big window like that. BUT,,, After seeing a pic, I would seam that across the top where it is less noticeable and let it ride. A vertical seam will be more noticeable no matter where you put it.
  4. Ooooh. I don’t do much flat glass but that’s a tough one. Since you can only get 72” product, I would recommend a 4” reveal all the way around. A seam in that size window anywhere is going to suck. Interested in seeing what the pro’s say. Following.
  5. That is probably easier than you think
  6. Just turned down another one. Chevy built in 12/15 = black Texas Edition or something like that. Tested the panel and it was BAD!!! Refused to even touch it.
  7. Of the two choices available to you, go with Llumar and go with Ceramic for the best heat rejection. Issues with TPMS sensors is old news, no longer an issue(not sure it ever really was). Don't go with different shades on that vehicle to compensate for anything. Stick with one shade all the way around and you'll be fine. cheers
  8. See, I could do that, I just don't want to. I know it pays well but it's just not what I want to do anymore. Nice job though.
  9. Been meaning to show y’all this one. I think everyone will like this and most will appreciate the absolute headache it was.
  10. ASWF = America's Sh!tt!est Window Films
  11. That is odd. Are you sure you have the latches pushed far enough into the locked position? Try pulling on the interior handle when you throw the latch. I don't recall having any issues with those. so if you figure it out let us know what's up.
  12. Something you might not have ever seen Uvinul is a UV inhibitor that is added during the film making process. It has a shelf life. If used passed this time or if for some reason it is a bad batch, then you end up with UV bloom (failure) This generally happens when it get cold after manufacturing (if I'm not mistaken). Zoom in and look and the snowflakes everywhere. Crazy.
  13. I don't know that it is specifically Volkswagen. I've seen it happen on a Dodge Challenger recently and I think it happened on a Toyota if I'm not mistaken.
  14. That is a 60psi. on-demand SureFlo pump. It's awesome. Instant - constant pressure without air. Just plug it up and go.
  15. I'm very familiar with the duck sound It sucks. Drives me nuts when I'm around people on a flat glass job. I hate those style of Zep bottles. They also have this new black and white bottle that is larger capacity, but I'm not sure about the sprayer on those. The new blue and white ones is where it's at. The only big difference is the bottom of the sprayer. It's hollow where it used to have that blue piece that always pops out, so it rubs the top of your hand a little. Not a huge deal,, just sand the plastic edges and you're good.
  16. Hey guys. I think Zep got the design for the Spraymaster bottles. The new blue and white Zep bottles are identical to the gray Spraymaster ones.
  17. Yeah it's cool and all, but economics won't let it happen unless it can be produced SUPER CHEAP. They make these cars as cheap as possible. Even the high end ones. And let's face it, the value of the dollar isn't going up at any rapid pace. I think it is still declining, if I'm not mistaken. So this type of expensive addition to the automotive market doesn't have much of a chance of survival. And it sure won't effect us any. Just my useless two cents.
  18. One of my favorite cars. Not to work on though.
  19. Guys if you remove these Audi third brake lights, make sure that you have some Q-tips and some WD-40. Spray the tips of the Q-tip and wipe down the metal clips in the brake light and wipe down the metal mounts that it slides onto. This will make your re-install SO MUCH EASIER. Your Welcome.
  20. Nice job. That is definitely one that is more challenging than it looks.
