To me that decision would be an easy one.
On one side of your scale is safety (your dad seeing at night) and on the other side of your scale is appearance (vanity).
Also I don't think it would be that noticeable from outside, only at certain angles. I wouldn't sweat it.

Don’t be a lazy tinter, I’ve seen too many of them in my search for window tint but I suppose that comes with being a “window tinter” for a living
Hey, I hope you are able to get your car tinted to your liking.
I am going to ask you to move on now though. Not sure why you would want to be posting around people you disdain anyway.
Thanks.

Blue max for final and white teflons cut at an angle and wrapped in a shop towel for tooling and edges.

Yeah the gold ones will scratch everything.
-
Yes, from the outside it will seem a little darker as there's less light coming in in either scenario.

So, is this considered okay?
Yes, some cars have super tight frames that tend to pinch the film in the corner and make it buckle over time, your tinter probably did this to keep that from happening. Don't sweat it.

Hey @BIG E, long time no see. Sorry it's under these circumstances, and I hope you all are able to get back on your feet soon!

I'm not a PPF guy, but that looks like crap to me.

I will say up front that I am not trying to elicit business from this forum in case that is against the rules.
It's not against the rules, we have sections that people can list their businesses and so on. As long as it's industry related and not spamming, it's not a problem.

One last question with heat reduction is there a huge difference in the temperature of the car as it sits? I can tell no difference.
No, the car will still get hot.

no receipt they said it has a warranty but no paperwork
Sounds legit.

Did you get a warranty and or receipt? You can always call and ask what you got.

This page talks about drying time etc. https://www.tintdude.net/care.html
I've never heard the term "medical-grade tint". Maybe someone else here has.

Looks like the rough trim before heat shrinking. I don't see how it would be trouble to deal with, but you could always just lift the film and cut the rest off instead of tearing.

Not sure why the mod moved it. Its a tinting question
Mod can you move this back to tinting general discussion?
Sorry about that, first glance I thought it was PPF I was looking at.

Yeah, not such a good idea.
If I was a customer taking my car to be worked on and some dude came out taking pictures and documenting damage, I would think they have a big problem damaging cars, and what the heck are they doing that has the potential to damage my car? Heck yeah, I'd inspect it well afterwards.
And like others said, you are opening yourself up to owning everything you didn't document.

What shrinking technique are you using?
What kind of window are you practicing on and what film are you using?
Welcome to the forum!
