LeSnootback reacted to PRatx in 2020 porsche911 headlights
just a heads up , the new porsche headlights are removable.
the car has a switch where you can lift the front about 2more inches for access.
the inner liner needs to be removed (11 screws- 4 at the bottom , 7 in the wheel area ) , or dropped to have access for the 2 bolts that holds the headlight. no bumper removal needed.
after all the bolts area removed , you will need help when pulling the headlight, one person push from inside and second holds it in the front. also masking tape should be used around the headlight before removal.
the inside front bottom of the headlight has a pin that slides into a small track. (in pic marked with red)

LeSnootback reacted to PPFJunkie in PPF Pattern Selfmade - How to? *German*
Hey nice forum,
I'm from Germany and I'm looking for a way to create PPF patterns yourself. I myself have already tested a little and got ApplicationTape (German word) and applied this to the surface. Then I draw the edges with a flexible ruler and scan the sketch. Then I vectorize this in Adobe Illustrator and cut the PPF film with our Summa D160 plotter.
Does anyone of you know how to do this with more complex components and simulate the stretching of the film so that the pre-set fits later?
Thanks for your answers... :)
In the attachment my simple pattern test.

No pics but cut a blue teflon card diagonally and you get two blue teflon ez reaches. I still use the platinum ez reach and shank to tuck film. But this blue teflon ez reach is good for getting water out of your side gaskets. I think the gold/platinum ez reaches are good tuck tools but bad squeegee tools. They seem to scratch window tint quite easily.

LeSnootback got a reaction from CaliTINT in Florida does it again!
So I went by one of the highest volume shops in Florida the other day. We'll leave them unnamed. I saw this and my jaw dropped. Can you believe the tinter is sitting on the customer vehicle ? And on top of that, wet shrinking. Wtf is going on. She's stretching her legs out 😂

LeSnootback reacted to pbalentine in Aprons
I did see the dirty pouch. The 7 pocket hip pouch I got a home depot does the job. I can fit blumax, unger & turbo, eazy reach & tri-edge, teflon card, sharpie, olfa, olfa blades and blade holder. I’ll never wear an apron again, except for FG. Ive been trying to carry the least tools I can and trying to stick to one routine. Its fun trying new methods and tools, but it can slow things down and make your routine less efficient. I swear I would be better off not trying different tools so much and just using a turbo for everything.

@TomTint Love the pattern and that install. Looks amazing.
2018 F250 today. I let the plotter cut out the letters and then bulked it. Giant piece of film.
