I got tired of people asking about it afterward, so we now quote $40 higher for those vehicles and we tell them up front about doing the Dotrix just to confirm they are okay with the loss of vision. We did it a couple of times after the original installation and it is just more work than just knocking it out up front.

No but let that be a lesson. I hardly work any Sundays but the ones I do they're dropped off Saturday evening.

Pulling straight in though, light will reflect off the bg, making near impossible to trim out dark film. Also, same effect makes it hard to see specs that need pressed out on sides. Actually does come out cleaner peeling bg in rear of the garage versus peeling right where the door is open. For the majority of rollups, i peel them off the bg and rear rollup, so the doors being open block a draft coming in some.

Both. Check to see if the defrost cycles which most of the time it'll shut off every 15 minutes or so. I'll usually check at that point to see if the film is ready to come off. If not I'll let it do another cycle.

Id charge much more. Its not like your friends and family can find it somewhere else as cheap. Remember, its a skilled trade that not anyone can do and is how we charge what we do.

Plus you have to "safety" check it. Growing up I don't think my mom ever deemed a Reeces peanut butter cup "safe" for mine or my siblings consumption
