Midtown Houston got a reaction from Roach in Credit card processing
Square is a smart choice if you are doing less then 150k a year but poor choice if you are doing more. The average cost of fee for our business is 2.25% using almost any merchant. We reconciled our business every year on how we can save on anything...
this years...
1. Tranfer on att phone line to comcast...save $75/month
2. Cancell directv and got firestick with vue channel....save $60/month
3. Cancell yelp ad ($375/month) and tranfer ad money to Facebook lead generators ($200)....gross 18k in sale from first month.
4. Selling company 2017 Raptor and buying Tesla Model 3 ...save big time on gas and will be using it as a loaner car
ect....visit your number yearly and you can all save

Midtown Houston reacted to KCLLC in Showrooms
So this will be my first post, although I've been a lurker for the last 6+ years. I finally bought one of these for my shop, I was doing everything out of a home garage until this past year where I moved into a legitimate shop where I finally could have walk-ins. Up until this, I never saw the need, or the benefit, as most customers were word of mouth referrals, they saw my work, and trusted my word. Since moving into the shop, a lot of the walk-ins I receive do seem skeptical until I do bring them to the display. I think it paid for itself within the first few weeks. I regret not getting it sooner.
Overall, I think it's a great design, super sturdy and extremely well built. I am pretty crafty, I'm sure most of are, but I am glad I just spent the money and not the time to get this completed. Mike was super helpful, got it shipped in a timely manner, and checked in afterwards. If there was something else I needed from him, I would not hesitate to buy again.

Midtown Houston reacted to DynamicATL in Rainbow Effect in Windshield Tint
Honestly you need to stop being so technical worrying about how it looks in light from the exterior and worry more about all those fingers popping up in the right bottom corner. Anytime you add window film, it will alter the look with the sun hits it. If you don't want it, remove it and leave it stock.

Midtown Houston reacted to STEK HOWARD in 2017 FORD GT Heritage undergoes top to bottom STEK PPF
And i do mean top to bottom literally as the bottom carbon fiber panels were covered in one our industrial films. The rest of the car was custom patterned in our DYNOshield PPF as well as our DYNOmatte PPF on the carbon fiber rockers and door sills.

Midtown Houston reacted to Sunbreakers in Milwaukee Heat Gun - Battery
I got mine last month. I shrank a whole rear window with it and was a long process. Used one or two bars on the battery if I remember correctly. Heats up very quickly and comes to temp in 7 seconds according to lit, but no trigger lock and with the way it is weighted and squeezing trigger constantly it starts to wear on the wrist pretty quickly. I bought the full kit including the battery, charger, two nozzles, and a case. There is a nozzle which focuses the heat and I really like that. I usually use two heat guns or a torch and this was more work. Where this tool shines is at dealerships and body shops where you are having to do touch ups on the one little spot you found after you pull the car out of the bay and are far away from electricity. While I have many corded heat guns and love my Milwaukees and Metabos, this one will never replace them, but does have a purpose.

Midtown Houston got a reaction from TintDude in Removal rates...are you charging enough?
We got 3 tinter including myself and I won’t let them do removal....I let my detail guy do it and we assist them...my installer are too valuable to me that I need them installing instead of doing removal...We just charge over 2k for a ppf removal that took 5 days doing it partime when my detail guy got nothing to do...

Midtown Houston got a reaction from quality tintz in Will be opening business SOON!!!!!! need advice!!!
Dude...we have a lost skill trade like lock smith. The all charge me $300 to unlock my door when I got lock out. The charge me $600 to change out new lock for my place when keys are lost or stolen. .....Let me tell you something about locksmith .....They all work together on pricing. They don't rip no one off. Their time are worth that much and they value it so much that they charge that much.
Why can't we value our time and skill set. If we all work together instead of trying to undercut each other. We will all be valuable.
The service industry is here to stay and will alway have a demand. DO NOT DEPRECIATE THE SKILL AND DEMAND. I live in Houston and we are short on tinter big time.

Midtown Houston reacted to flat rock stan in BMW X5 window malfunctions
I had a new 17 yesterday that after prep, roll the window part way down then up to make sure it was in the correct position... apply film, shave the edge then roll it up to finish the bottom and window would roll all the way down. Neary 40 years tinting doors and I did this one 8 times. Was embarrassing Any magic with the window having a memory? Have been reading bmw forums where they talk about using the fob to roll the window down then hold for 5 to 30 second to "reset" the window....whew! Earned my money for sure but going to give the customer a full refund cause he was so polite after spending half a day waiting for a simple job to be completed. Wish all customers could be as understanding
Hope this helps someone.
Cheers
