Man, Rick you seem to be having trouble getting along with people here.

For your own peace of mind, maybe you should take a break from here for a while.

It is also supposed to be in the same range, but I think only 1 member here sells it.  People have questioned their performance numbers, but I don't think anyone has posted findings.  The downside is the photochromic properties will stop working in the 1-3 year range.  It is the same technology used in Transition lenses in glasses.  So eventually it will end up being stuck in a darker shade.  Also, the 35% (darkest they have) has no warranty...you will have to do 45% or above.  They did good marketing the film to the Tesla crowd, so word-of-mouth grew from there.  The film is made in China and the manufacturer originally approached Huper Optik to lease the technology which they passed on it.  So the manufacturer then formed Prestige in the USA to sell the film.  The fact that Huper Optik passed on the technology is enough for me to pass.

As far as the shop stating it is the best...I will tell you the same about 3M Crystalline.  A Llumar Select Pro shop will tell you the same about Stratos.  In the end, it is a combination of our personal opinion and the fact we want to sell you the job.

All the films mentioned are higher performing films...so you will be happy with any of them.  I would first make sure the shops you are looking at produces quality work.  The higher name brand doesn't always equal better quality installation.  F1 Stratos will have a normal Charcoal look while Huper Ceramic and Drei will have a slightly Silver Reflective look.  So depends on the appearance you are wanting.  If you are looking for raw performance, here is how I would rate them from top to bottom...I also added another option in the mix.  Even though this is how I would rank them on performance, any option is a solid film.  Just depends on the balance you want of performance, appearance, and price.

    Huper Drei
    3M Crystalline
    Huper Ceramic
    F1 Stratos

As long as you're happy with the price you are getting paid.  We do not get many removal jobs because of our flat rate removal price which we are increasing to $250 in 2019.  A scrape job would have to be in the $800-$1000 for us.  Otherwise, window replacement or go somewhere else.

About every removal i say its my last.  They’re always time consuming and takena toll on your body.  Good to charge extra since they take up a lot of time in your bay, when you could possibly be doing just a regular tint. To me there are two types of removal, pull film and scrub/scrape adhesive or the worst, which is where most or all the film has to be scraped.  Im considering passing on these. Just too much time and enegry to scrap turds.

tell you want to be paid by flag hour.....like 3 hrs for a 4 door car, 2.5 hr for 2 door car, 2 hrs for a truck, 4hr for suv.... Each hour at $28 buck....

That way...if you do a car in 1 hrs ....you get 3 flag hour which equal to $84.  This will work for both party because you will tint more car.

They do this for their body and mechanic guy.  Charge 7 flag hour for a brake job that take them 1 hr.

I am not going to argue either. A long time friend of mine (whom I worked for 12 years) made everyone sign a waiver. He has been in business since 1979. While I was there, a 19 yr old girl had her vehicle done and got into an accident. She injured the other party, they sued her and her insurance company sued the shop along with her mother initiating the ordeal. He fought it and lost because she said she couldn’t see the car coming when she pulled out because of the tint being too dark. He had to pay the claim on her car and her insurance had to pay the claim on the injured guy. If you look up and read some some of the different state laws, it is illegal for a window tinting company to tint illegal applications. Companies can be fined up to 10 grand for installing it, even though it isn’t pushed.
    Here it is for my location;
HOUSE BILL RESTORES GEORGIA’S WINDOW TINT LAW
(ATLANTA) - Governor Sonny Perdue has signed House Bill 20 which reinstates Georgia's window tint law on motor vehicles.  Colonel Bill Hitchens, commander of the Georgia State Patrol, said the law became effective Monday, May 2, with the signature of Governor Perdue.  The Georgia State Patrol will be issuing educational warnings during the month of May.  He said troopers will begin issuing citations on June 1.
Georgia's window tinting law was struck down as unconstitutional last year because the provisions applied only to vehicles registered in Georgia.  "House Bill 20 corrected the language so the law applies to all vehicles, whether registered in Georgia or another state," Colonel Hitchens said.  "The window tint law is a safety issue, not only for law enforcement officers as they approach a vehicle during a traffic stop, but also for drivers so they can better see approaching vehicles while they drive."
The law allows for the same light transmission standards as the previous law.  It is now illegal for window tinting material to be applied to the rear, side and door windows of motor vehicles that does not allow for more than 32 percent of light transmission (plus or minus three percent).  It is also illegal for materials to be applied to the windows that increase the level of light reflected to more than 20 percent.  Additionally, except for the top six inches of the windshield, no material or glazing can be applied that would reduce the light transmission through the windshield.
Among the exemptions to the window tint law are:  adjustable sun visors not attached to the glass; signs or stickers displayed in a seven-inch square in the lower corner of the passenger side of the windshield or in a five-inch square in the lower corner of the driver's side of the windshield; law enforcement vehicles; and any federal, state or local sticker or certificate which is required by law to be placed on any windshield or window.  Also exempted under the law are the rear windshields and side windows, except the windows to the left and right of the driver, on multipurpose passengers vehicles; school buses and buses used for public transportation; buses and vans owned or leased by any religious or non-profit organization; limousines; and any other vehicle where the windows or windshields have been tinted or darkened before factory delivery or permitted by federal law or regulation.
Violation of the law by either driving a vehicle with illegal window tint or installing the illegal material is a misdemeanor and punishable by a fine up to $1,000 and/or up to 12 months imprisonment.
we are at risk as the installer.
    Cheers

Not string lights superbright LED strip, has ties to keep the strip LED to one side. You will see it's better, brighter,  and lighter then the rest. This is a light designed for tinters by a tinter.

Midtown Houston reacted to 863JOE in 2018 Accord back window warning
Happened to me at work twice now, thought I should give the warning. First time I thought it was a fluke, second time I noticed a pattern.

When you squeeze out the back window, the water will run PERFECTLY down the drivers side, down the inner quarter and funnel over a wiring harness that's part of the blindspot monitoring system, triggering a fault on the dash and saying see the dealer. Thankfully I work for a Honda dealership, so no biggie.

If in the event this happens to you- pop the trunk, pull back the trunk liner on the left hand side by removing the cargo hook tucked in the corner (pressure clipped in) and peel it back. The harness is right there when you pull it back, you can't miss it. Unplug both harnesses and take compressed air and blow all the water out and you're back in business. Won't throw a hard code, no need to go to the dealer if it happens.

Figured I'd save everyone the panic attack.
