CaliTINT got a reaction from quality tintz in 2017 mazda 6 door panels ??
Not sure about the seals. But most of the car is pretty easy and straight forward. The only issue I have with some of these Mazdas is installing on the front windows. Not much space on the sides closer to the mirror. I top load and don't pull panels but I always get these done. No major issues.

I haven't begun bottom loading lol. But the back quarters aren't bad at all. I keep the template for future use

I customized this cheap, orange handle squeegee with channel by heating it up for 20 seconds or so and hyper extended the handle backwards.  This allows me to squeegee from edge to edge to about 6” of bottom edge.  I trimmed off about 1.5” of the handle and slight grinded down the blade holder on the side where it could slightly touch the glass at the lowest angle.  The vehicle shown is a 08 Fusion.

I have seen these strange imperfections that looked like burns also on glass. They aren't really visible until you tint the car if we are talking about the same thing.

I love the Global I install everyday and have zero issues with it.

For the price of $260 on a 3 Series, I would be making sure we are talking ceramic film and not regular QDP.  That price seems a little low for QDP-C.  Just sayin.

You cannot go wrong with global.  If you wanna spend double for CTX. That’s fine go ahead.... but at the price point global is the way to go!  I’ve installed dozens of brands over the years. And global for the most part out performs or at least contends with all

I feel like Tesla is just trying to make something untint-able. We keep figuring it out like on the X windshields! The Next car will have the entire ( windshield, roof, back glass) be one giant piece of glass 10 ft long.

I bought a "training roll" from EXO Shield which has imperfections. I have not yet purchased a production roll because I have not successfully been able to master and windshields yet lol. Well only tried 2-3 times, no luck. I did put it on my Wrangler which was super easy. So I'm thinking of mainly marketing this product to Wrangler owners in my area since the windshield is so prone to damage.

I do quite a bit of windshield protection, and you should be aware that it’s a steep learning curve! Even for an experienced tinter. All of the films I’ve worked with are 4 mil+ and shrinking can be pretty hard on cars that you wouldn’t think that it would. Also, being that it’s the windshield, customers inspect it to impossible standards. A spec of contamination that would be fine under regular window tint, looks awful under something 4ml thick. All that said, if you get good at them, it’s a money maker and customers seem to have a hard time finding places that offer it.
Clear-Plex and Bray are some other options

I agree with super Dave on this one ! Windshield tinting is a whole new ballgame ! The tint is so thick , and much much more difficult to shape ! I shape windshield tint completely different from the way I shape tint for the rear window ! And there are some windshields you can’t tint with tint that thick ! The Porsche Panamera is a difficult one , and bmw mini ! The Nissan Rogue requires a 40 inch roll and is really difficult ! While most windshields can be done with a 36 inch roll ! And dealing with cleanliness and small creases , everything is more noticeable , every imperfection !

I should have probably mentioned that I really only do the windshields on exotics, that rarely are in the elements. I always steer daily drivers away from doing it.

Apparently you can’t order any right now, (back order) no set time table on when you’ll be able to.
”a few weeks “ was what a friend that sells it told me.

I have gotten 2 under my belt now. Both done in Xpel XR ceramic. I can't speak for you Crystalline guy because I know that film is another beast, but it really is not bad to do. The rear window is more time consuming because of the size. But they have been priced accordingly so I have felt good about doing  them. I used a 60" and shrank to the sides. Then I back rolled the film from the bottom to the top. Use a bit of extra slip to give you the extra time to squeegee out the water from the back glass. The plastic around the back glass sticks out a bit farther then the frit edge. So when you cutting make sure your not following the plastic and cutting it short.  I have talked with more owners then the ones I have tinted.Seems these owner are going to be a different breed. They act like they are Elon Musk himself.

I think one of the biggest costs associated with opening up a location is the location itself. How much work it will need to make it into a tint shop will greatly vary. Sometimes you may need to do costly construction work, and sometimes the location will need little to no work except maybe some paint, furniture, office stuff etc. Save up as much capital as you can so you can start out right.
