Wow. I make it a point never to place anything (tools, boxes, etc.) on the paint except towels. I see guys place their spray bottles on top of cars paint all the time and it makes me cringe.

People ask me that all the time. I work 6 days a week just about every week, couple that with a family doesn't leave much time for other things. In another life I used to enjoy working out a lot but that's since left.

I use the olfa one as well.

For square blades I just take an old jar and pop a slot on top of the lid like a piggy bank.

Its not like the trunk sticks out far or is the bg wide. Still, theres no reason. I guess she gets on the roof for a visor and on the hood for a windshield?? I see a bunch of knots in extension cord and the heat gun cord...guess you might as well prop up a crate and sit on the trunk.

So I went by one of the highest volume shops in Florida the other day. We'll leave them unnamed. I saw this and my jaw dropped. Can you believe the tinter is sitting on the customer vehicle ? And on top of that, wet shrinking. Wtf is going on. She's stretching her legs out 😂

Yep.  Shops around me are charging $400 or so for it because the warranty covers the windshield being damaged.  However, most windshields are that price or lower so...

That company is being honest. WPF can't last for many years as the windshield wipers will create minor scratches on SR and trigger the disintegration.

All those products last 3-4 months in Houston where it rain alot. It is only good for track vehicle and if you live in the almost perfect climate like San Diego.

If you still wanna stock that product...here my advice..You have to have a clean room to do the windshield...any dust will show up big time due to the thickness of the film. It will take a lot of practice to shape this right. Adhesive is not really tacky so any fingers popping up the day after can not be fix. Good Luck

I wanted to do the same. They cost too much and don't last long. I bought a training roll and it was expensive! Put it on my Jeep and less than a year later it looks like shit!

Talked to a company at SEMA and when I asked them how long the product would last he said about one year. That's not gonna cut it

CaliTINT reacted to rvpjr in Global and Fading
I have heard this story before.  I know two things here to be true that may clear up any misunderstandings... 1.  Garware has put out extruded dyed film in the past that may not have been as stable as Global.    I believe that someone somewhere may have confused this product with the Global brand which is a top shelf deep dyed product with a perfect track record going back to around 2005.  2. There have been distributors who have purchased economy Korean film and have sold it as Global film.  Most of this film was sold in Florida and would certainly fade and change colors.  Unfortunately this is where a lot of the rumors have originated about this Global product fading or changing colors which is simply not true.  Hope this helps clear up some of the rumors.

If none of the Crossover customers are complaining then your just shooting yourself in the foot, if they complain then offer the complainers your sedan price. Unless it's going to bring a ton of Crossover in and you need to be competitive.
