Hi, welcome to the forum.
This website is primarily for professional installers, so you may have better luck posting this somewhere else, thanks.

quality tintz reacted to jh812 in Blue Max vs Orange Crush vs Redline etc
No I haven't tried that as of yet. You know something though I started using the 8 inch blue max for cleaning and installing the back glass and windshield. Man that's a life changer there. I currently have the hybrid blade in it just cause I didn't have anything else. That one works pretty good though.

I think I like this one but time will tell. It's a good in between the two. Haven't had any issues with the redline but damn it's stiff.

quality tintz reacted to Sunbreakers in Bottom load - Peeling off vehicle
I bought a sheet of the lexan or acrylic that Homedepot sells for $100. I find the thin plex will shatter or crack...especially if you score it several hundred times with a knife. lol!! the piece I bought is holding up after over a year. Problem with cutting on it is you are cutting INTO it so you don't have the movement or flexibility you normally would if on glass. Not sure how else to explain it. Hope this helps.

quality tintz reacted to Sunbreakers in Bottom load - Peeling off vehicle
I only peel off the vehicle as last resort on a mobile job and never a large window like a windshield or rear glass. It always is a better, cleaner job off a board regardless of how clean the vehicle is I think.

I should be getting a bottle in any day. Hopefully it will help with peanuts on certain windows.

Did one today and only removed one screw behind a small plastic trim piece directly behind the door handle, popped the top of the panel back and slid the sweep out. Bottom loaded to tintand put itall back like new. Piece of cake!!

What about the coating PBS released? It was stated that these have a coating that can easily be scratched.

quality tintz reacted to flat rock stan in Tesla Model 3
We spend about two hours on the model 3 and do them all in one piece. Also charge more for the risk and customer signs we are not liable for glass breakage. Here in the Northwest the owners are a mixed bag, some cool and some not so much.
Cheers

It looks like everyone here knows what they are doing when it comes to the TM3. If anyone has any questions about the 3 feel free to contact me. We have tinted around 500 of them. We tint 3 - 5 of them every singe day and as of right now Oct 23, 2018 we have almost 40 of them on the schedule. If you are in the SoCal area and you want to watch a TM3 get tinted or if you would like to use our TM3 rear window to practice again just give us me a call.

quality tintz reacted to pbalentine in 19 Lexus ES350 changes
Lexus really changed it up. First off, you cant trim rubber on rear 1/4s. Front door panels are just 3 screws still, but one isnt under the small piece of carpet material, its right above it on the side of the panel under a plastic trim piece. The door panel gaskets come off the panel now, so no more struggling to get panel back on. I tucked the rears and dropped the fronts.

Try not to tuck to much film, especially at the bottom. Lay the film up a slide it down slowly and watch the top edge so you dont tuck too much. Had a focus yesterday that had a small tight spot in the middle. Would of been screwed if i tucked too much.

Likely the reasoning on that one is because of a black rubber piece that sits right at the bottom. Lower the seats down and you'll find a few black plastic rivots that hold the deck in. Remove those, then pull the carpeted deck towards you. This will get that piece off the glass and give you enough room to work. Once done just push it straight back and reinstall clips.
