2000 Maxima - Tint Suggestion
by Guest tmstaton- 1 reply
- 3.9k views
I have a white 2000 Nissan Maxima with black leather interior. I am planning on having my windows tinted professionally sometime in the next few weeks. I was wondering how different VLTs will look on my car, considering it has black interior. I know that 35%VLT is the limit in North Carolina (where I live), and am willing to maybe tint a little bit darker than that. Any suggestions you might have, would be great. Also, how much should I expect to pay for a quality job? and, Does anyone know of any reputable tinters near either Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Durham, or Charlotte? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give on any of this.

hello, I was going to try tinting my 300zx (1990, the newer ones). I was wonderig if you guys had any suggestions as to how to do the rear glass. also, what specific brands of tint are good? is gila any good? I have to remove the crap that the guy before me did, and I figure if I mess up im only out $40 or so. I have a lot of the tools, as well as a heat gvn and was wondering specifically if you would wet or dry shrink the back window. please dont contribute if you are going to tell me to have it done profesionally, I know that I have that option, but I would like to try it myself. if it doesnt work out, im the one thats fvcked and not you guys, so helpful advice only ple…

Proffesional Tips - 87' 300ZX

Morning folks, I'm willing to throw the money at getting my Z tinted, definetly professionally. I'd just like to know how I can distinguish a good, trustworthy tinting shop from the rest? I've never had anything tinted before, so are there certain questions I should ask? Things I should look for before and after? And lastly, how common are gaurentees, lifetime gaurentees, ect. I greatly appreciate any help.

'05 Maxima brake light 1 2

I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the brake light out of a 2005 maxima. I can get the brake light out of the deck but I can't get the clip out. I tried pushing on the button tab but it will not budge. I also tried to trace the wire back under the deck to see if I could disconnect it somewhere else but no luck. My customer gave it a try and broke the push tab and it still wouldnt come out.

Owner's manual states to not apply metallized film over these , any feedback as to whether it causes radio interference . I have noticed that the altima back windows often have the plastic side panels that stick out and cover part of the glass surface that makes it very difficult to slide the tint underneath the sides. Has anyone got a smooth fix for those annoying things!!

I have a friend that told me once the rear glass is removed, it fractures or breaks automatically. Any info on this, besides other vehicles I know that will.

ive tinted for about 3 months now and I got quite good, ive tinted my 04 4 door accord and 04 civic and looks really nice. Tommorow I am going to tint my friends 96 maxima. my question is the rollups have a really hard gasket thingy so there is no place to tuck the tint in. Do I cut the tint perfectly in size so there is no gap between the gasket and the tint? if I did that im scared when you roll down the window it will peel the tint off. and suggestions welcome

Defected 2004 Quest Dashboard
by Guest pillcrusher- 3 replies
- 2.9k views
Hi guys this is my first post. One of my favorite features of the quest is the dashboard. Many think it looks like an airplane. I'm having a problem with the enamel of the middle console. This portion, which stands tubular and holds the controls for radio, nav, etc, has an enamel that I would describe as being similar to soft grit sand paper. It is not smooth but also not abrasive. I have owned my quest for only 4 months and this enamel first started to bubble and now is rubbing off. I take great care of my van and it is not due to friction. The enamel is wearing off to reveal dark black plastic underneath. I just wanted to know if anyone else had this misfortune…

Im getting ready to tint my 1988 Nissan 200SX (Back window that is curved on edges, door windows, and those tirangular shaped side windows) I was wondering if anyone had any sort of helpful tints that could be of use to me in my journey. I'm a first timer at this and I don't feel like spending $150 to get it done professionally. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I'm skilled with tinting but don't come to me when it comes to automobile parts! I couldn't for the life of me figure out of the 98 Altima back deck brakelight comes off. Couldn't find any screws. Didn't find any plastic tabs from the trunk that appeared to hold the brakelight in either.
