Midtown Houston got a reaction from pbalentine in 2019 Dodge Charger
This car took us about 4 hours to tint. We had to remove the rear deck on this 2019 which we never had to do on any Charger. The back glass gave us so much problems even after wet sanding it with 2000 grit. It just didn’t wanna stick on the bottom. Even after removing the rear deck we still had a hard time due to the sub woofer sticking up so high. There also alots of electronic that need to be cover up back there so be careful.

Midtown Houston got a reaction from Diablo's Tint in Really want llumar but can’t become a dealer in my town
You can do it....if you can do a up front big buy like 10-15k...they might consider. No company will turn a big buy but it also have to that big every quarter or maybe months....

For all the shop that do tint...this is what you need ...windshield measure at 18 7/8” x 14 1/4. The windshield is $98 with shipping. the windshield plus side glass is $150 with shipping. we will be making a nice display including the windshield and side glass...but that will be a few month due to project in front. We make a lot of display.....pm me for any display need.

Midtown Houston reacted to FeArZ in Recommended Tint specialist in Humble/ Houston Tx area?
Looking for a recommended place to get a 2500 Silverado tinted. Wanting windshield done also.
I have never had a personal vehicle tinted, but have seen friends that have cars that peel after a few months. So doing some research on where to go.

I got my hands on one yesterday. I like to pull panels, but the back doors have power shades so I can't comment there as I didn't want to break anything. Tight seals but not terrible to top load.
The front have 4 screws, 2 behind the wood trim, 1 behind the speaker grill, 1 under the arm rest. T25. The wood trim comes out pretty easy, I started at the front with a chizzler and worked my way to the back. Look out for the metal clips in the door panel coming out with the trim. Didn't seem too be any weird twisting needed pull the trim as with other models. The speaker grill came out easy. Luckily, they have switched to the metal pin clips so less chance of breaking any.
Unfortunately, it's a one piece seal that can't be easily removed. But pulling the panel did give me some much needed clearance in the front corner, which is tight.
The brake light cover pulls straight back like other newer models and the harness is like an A4. You have to bend the red clip pretty far to get it out so just be careful.
The frit is sandwiched so no silver rings on quarters and back windshield.
Not the easiest car but not super difficult. No FVD patterns yet. Hope this helps!

Having the rear window of the TM3 is the greatest idea ever. We also have the Honda Civic Hatchback.

Just did this one yesterday. The overlap is width of a defroster line cut perfectly straight. The line starts at the towel on left side.

We do so many Tesla 3 that we just bought the backglass for $500....this will speed up our time on the shrinking and make it easier. Now I need to buy 2 glass stand for this.

3mhave a hugh selection, llumar have good selection. We maily use 3M deco film. We own digital plotter that range from 30k to 150k each. When we were looking to buy a digital printer that can print white ink, it was a million dollar for 1 printer and was advised that printing white is difficult. That is why deco film is expensive. Decorate dfilm.com sell 3M film for 40% more than what I get it for from 3M. They are charging alot knowing that most don’t do much in deco film.

Good to see you figured it out.
I would have encouraged less slip too.
If anyone out there is called upon to install this. Be 100% sure of the orientation of the film install. Use the test card to ensure ALL locations for install will work with the monitor on the wall.
Due to the differences in orientation on polarized filters on different monitors and various laptops in use in the "cloaked" room it may or may not work. Encourage the users of the film to confirm it works on the laptops brought into the room BEFORE the "top secret" info is displayed to the rest of the office.
This vid may help to understand how the polarized filters work.
