The 19’ G63 changed. No third brake light, no seals to pull on rear 1/4s.
Door seal removal: 1-T30 behind leather arm rest handle cover and pull it out.

L x W x # of windows / 144
That will give you the sq ft.. so, for example, 36" x 30" x 6 windows would be 45 sq/ft.
Some shops have a per sq/ft price based on what it costs to run their business and what the area can support. $5-$15 per sq/ft is probably an average range.
You could also figure out how much film you need, figure out how much that film will cost to purchase, add your operating expenses, and come up with a total that way.
Depending on the size of the job, I use both those methods. There's no right or wrong way, just depends.

If you are working for a dealer in their building and have no skin in the game..as far as expenses go. All you are is a laborer. Same as a car detailer. Your pay will likely be in line with what people in your area make to roll paint onto walls, mow grass, vacuume carpets or wash cars.

I took a break from the site for a long time but I'd like to get more involved in the industry. I tried the Facebook groups a couple times but they seem to be a constant revolving door of the same ole topics and I hope TintDude hasn't become that. If you haven't figured out the secret to Dodge/Chrysler peanuts either search it or figure it out lol. I hope I can become a valuable member to this site, cheers!

When I first started I stripped and retinted my car about 20 times with different films and techniques until I found what works for me, then moved to friends and family, then to the public. Quality over quantity when it comes to practice IMO.

Ain't nothing wrong with that homie. We all handle situations differently with different circumstances. You went above and beyond for the customer and hopefully they know that.

I agree with the opinions...However, this is a loyal frequent return customer..I really didn't know how to handle this one I have to admit.. If this had been a one time customer, then I would have been less likely to have done anything about it, but given the strange circumstance I simply did what I thought necessary. Already had a referral from them that almost covered the windshield cost so eventually I will make up the expense.

Same here if by some means I was forced into replacing the glass I damn sure wouldn't be retinting it. That's a tough situation all together that I hope I never run into.

Correct, it was the interior glass that cracked. I don't think it matters which if it was inner or outer they would probably hung me with it because it came out of the shop with a crack where none existed when it came in. I don't honestly see how I could have done anything to crack it besides the pressure applied to squeegee it out.
Now when it comes to that odyssey you did, when that vehicle left your care if no broken glass existed how could it possibly been your fault !? Why would you need an explanation on how that happened while someone else was in possession of the vehicle ? I would have fought that hand tooth & nail. Sounds like BS to me.
Either way broken glass sucks! This was my first one my entire career.
