Got a new vinyl cutter

I was able to trade my 24" Lynx to a friend for his 48" Graphtec!!! He owns a tattoo shop and called me over to set up his cutter. He had two and one didn't work at all, but the Graphtec worked fine. He said he wanted the smaller one to work cause the 48" took up too much room and he never cuts anything but small stickers for his walk in customers. So I pitched it to him and he was all for it. My Lynx was about 5 years old and well taken care of. I'm not too sure how old this beast is but it only has a parallel port and a rs-232 port which my laptop doesn't work with. But I got a old desktop I wanted to use for strictly signs and tint anyways so I'm pretty excited.…

i am cutting window film with a blue top holder and a clean cut 30degree blade but will be cutting paint protection film here shortly with a 45degree blade, and although i know it is meant for reflective films and such, is it necessary to have a red top hold for cutting paint protection film, or will my blue top holder do the job just fine? any input is greatly appreciated, thanks you!

Hey guys, I have been looking for a plotter. This will just be just to start off with. I really don't want to spend the money to buy a brand new one if a used one will suffice. I already did a search and could not find any info on this model. Locally, I have found a Graphtec ce 1000. The guy says it's around 5 years old. Im still in the process of getting more information from him so if you can think of some questions that I can ask him it would really help. Also, has anyone dealt with this model before and if so, did it do a good job. He is asking 5 hundred obo. Any help would be great. Thanks

I appreciate this community because learning this machine can be a challenge without prior experience. Recently, I purchased a GraphTec 5000-c60 and I was attempting to assemble the cutter. In the process, I was trying to insert the blade inside of the blade holder and the blue top is stuck and will not twist to adjust the blade. I am @ a stand still, can anyone assist to prevent me from purchasing a new blade holder for $100. Thank you Natural

Hey guys, I have a Graphtec CE3000 48 that encountered a problem the other day. I walked away for just a few seconds while it was cutting some windows out and when I got back the beginning of the roll had developed static cling and doubled up and the plotter pulled it back through the cutting area . Now, I cannot get the cutter to put enough force to cut through the film, although it scrapes the film, it doesn't go through it. Any suggestions?

Well, I have been doing signs and window tint and business is slow enough to call it quits. Therefore, I'm parting with my plotter Graphtec FC7000-100 42". I have several new blades and cutting strip. I'm asking for $2000 shipping will be extra. I'm near Cleveland Ohio. If you want to save shipping, you can always pick it up. The machine has served me well and hate to part with it but money is money. It's in excellent condition with custom built catch basket. I have used it primarily for cutting vinyls and occasionally tint. Used it with Flexi 8 pro and tint tek. If you're new to computer cutting I'll be happy to help you get going. I'm about to buy a Graphtec FC5100 40" plotter. I'm wondering if some one can tell me if it's a good all around machine. I need to cut Tint, PPF and Vinyl. I'd like to have one machine that does it all. I've been to shops that have multiple plotters for different media and I'd like to avoid that. Thanks Brent

Graphtec 42" Plotter for Sale

I have a Graphtec fc5100 100 42" plotter w/ stand for sale. I got into the PPF business last year and it obviously didn't take off like I hoped it would. The plotter has maybe 3 hours of cut time on it. Thats a complete guess, but I probably did 30 ppf kits and I cut a couple of harley decals for my dads trailer. This plotter retailed for $5995 plus shipping. I still have the original box it was shipped in, so I would be willing to ship the plotter. All I would charge is the actual shipping cost involved. The plotter and stand weight approx. 123lbs according to GRAPHTEC. I never registered the warrenty card. I DON'T KNOW FOR SURE, BUT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO REGISTER IT AND HA…

Those of you that have one with the stand. By chance, do you know apx how large a roll can fit on this stand? Theres a product that minimal roll is 24" x 110 yards. Apx 25lbs I was wondering if it would sit on the rack behind the plotter (is it too big) and will the plotter be able to feed because of the roll being too heavy? Or would I just have to hand unroll the roll for the length of media desired?
