Nope that's completely normal for all charger, Challenger, and 300's to look like that after tint. There's absolutely nothing you can do to change it.

Correction all after 2014 era I think was the year it changed.

Truck wrecked or modified previously? Somebody trying to match a weird color pulled it off with some dye or something? If you're about to own them I'd start experimenting with cleaners and detail stuff and then try my hand at dye/paint. @Bham first windshield I buy or laminated window is getting torched from the outside before it gets replaced, I will learn.... or take out my frustrations

Most standard dyed films will be the quickest to fade. Those are always the $99 jobs you get at the flea market or anyone else that’s trying to race to the bottom. Extruded dyes will last longer, but will still fade. If you don’t want the film to fade, pay extra for carbon or color-stable film. Even those might fade over time depending on the area you live, but the warranty will cover that and it’ll get replaced.

Well than you already know the ropes. I would suspect that if you presented them with your own draft of a contract and expected them to sign it... they wouldn't. I also believe the "exclusive" teratorry you believe you have solidified..is only safe as long as another shop does not want in and is able to stroke a large check to do so.

I can easily disagree with you there. I used Llumar for over 7 years, switched to Suntek just over a year ago. When we first got Suntek in, I DID put them side by side on some sample windows to see what the difference was. HP30/ATR30, HP15/ATR15, INF35/PP35. I could not tell the difference. Then I laid the invoices from Llumar next to the ones from Suntek, and I saw a HUGE difference. By the way, my expectations are far from mediocre. As far as flat film, I don't know. I don't do much flat glass (yet). Heck, I couldn't tell you what any numbers were right now.

Diablo's Tint reacted to smookee408@yahoo.com in Dirt contamination problem
Contamination can be many factors. Easy for some and harder for others. The biggest are your prep and environment. I was tinting in my garage for many years and didn’t realize how good I had it. I use to have the garage open when tinting even with a slight breeze would get excellent results. Now that I’m in my new shop I have to have the roll up doors closed when tinting. I’ve also figured out that it has to be closed for a few minutes before peeling. I use to peel the backglass off of the car but can’t do that anymore and use my peeler. The small holes in the shop also contributes. I’ve patched up small holes with duct tape and has helped. There’s small holes at the top of the shop A frames where dust is coming in from my neighbors but I need a big ass ladder to get to. Hard water can be issues. To get excellent results you have to control the environment. Every day I use a leaf blower and dust mop multiple times a day.
As for using razor blades I’m moving away from that as the new glass are chit and can scratch easy. Use a scrubbie! If you can’t control the environment then maybe it’s time to move.

It look good to me...don’t pick this guy apart because you want it closer to the edge...we charge additional $25 for shave top each glass.  For all the tinter here...we suppose to support each other and not tear another tinter apart. I personally don’t see anything wrong with it.

Who else uses xpel ? I love the product, but god dang terrible customer service and when ever I call for film they say they have 1 roll in one of there 2 locations..terrible stocking problem with them. im really curious who actually makes the film because you can’t get any rolls cut down or anything..

Diablo's Tint reacted to pbalentine in Xpel Prime CS vs SunTek Carbon
Suntek changed something with the liner in last year or so that made the liner pull easier. I asked about the scratching and they said theres no plan to change it since it may change other characteristics in the film. As for scratching its not an issue anymore for me, mainly due to keeping tools smooth. Its the easiest to shrink for me and imperfections and dots press out better than anything Ive used.

top load and tape the felt gaskets.  I use a little extra slip to easily get them in and torch the inside to set it in place.  The shank is my tool of choice to tuck the film into the bottom.

also think about how many competing shops are carrying each film. If there are 3 shops using xpel and none using suntek, Suntek may be the better option and vice versa.

I hate to start a thread like this, but thought it’d be interesting to hear what all injuries you guys have experienced while tinting. I’ve had the occasional cuts from tint and what not, but I just got ten stitches in my leg from a razor blade. I was stripping glue off a window and dropped my blade. Somehow it cut down my shin to the point that I could see my bone. Freak accident to say the least. It was kind of funny that my customer helped wrap me up. I had to put his door panel back on with blood dripping into my shoe. I’ll Spare the nasty pictures
