2009 Genesis

I did the first Genesis to hit the local dealer today. After coming off of tinting a new S550 this morning, the Genesis looks like the engineers bought a Mercedes and tried to copy everything. It looks like a lot of cars thrown together, notably Acura and MBZ, but tinting it was quite easy. There's a fair amount of shrinking required on the back glass, even though it 'looks' nearly flat. Plenty of room behind the Mercedes inspired 3rd brake light too. The side glass requires almost no shrinking, but surprisingly the front windows are double paned, while the rest of the glass is not....something about US requirements of needing to 'hear' sirens or some such thing, which th…

Anyone know how to trigger the doors in a Genesis Coupe? The "push the door latches" gimmick doesn't do it. Neither does unscrewing the door pin. I was NOT a happy camper yesterday.

2010 hyundai sonata 3Rd brake light

Yestarday I did a sonata and my bulldozer would not fit behind te brake light so I removed and and it was a painn.. there are 2 screws that hold ot in place, theres one that you can get right where the plug for the light bulb is and the other one is hidden behing this little sticky circle covering a hole about 1" diameter. once you remove those 2 scres then you have to pull the housing from the inside of the car and twist out the light bulb while having someone assist you from the trunk. hope I helped someone out there. enjoy..

This car is just freshened so the windows are exactly the same, BUT the 3rd brakelight is right up against the rear glass, making even a bulldozer a no-go. I got it done with another long yellow tool, but just barely. Lots of jumping in and out to make sure all the air/solution is outta there!

hey everyone, A friend of mine just got a hyundai. After doing some googling, it looks like its an 01 or 02 elantra. I don't know for sure though. Anyways, the quarter windows look kind of like a pain, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to tint them? also, I was wondering, how do I remove the rubber gaskets on the doors to help keep out contamination? or shoudl I just suck it up and tape them? thanks for any advice -will

ok im trying to tint the back glass. I have tried everything. wet/dry shrinking with soap/babypowder..etc. I can not keep it from creasing. can someone tell me what to do? the last time I tried I soaped the backglass and waited for it to dry. then I cut hte film and locked the sides down. then I dry shrunk it. wetted it down and worked most of the ingers out but some places still had huge fingers and then it cresed or got to hot. any help please?

'07 hyundai grandeur
by Guest aot75- 0 replies

Hey y'al. Wondering if anyone knows bout the new grandeurs...apparently they have light sensitive glass so the windows will darken in the sun. Therefore T35 films applied would be illegal I'm presuming. Could put heat shield T70 film on but it is metalised and will interfer with radio reception(aerial in rear screen). Can you bypass aerial from radio maybe...any ideas?

Was at the Hyundai Dealer on Sat and was noticing their tint jobs. The bottom left quadrant on EVERY Sonata rear window had white spots on it. More than what I would put on the street. Is there something with that back window where it is common to have that when finished ? I will be doing one later this week and would like to know. I will take my camera and get some pics, I will email the pics to one of you folks since I still haven't figured out how to do it if one of you would want to post them. It should be later in the week if not the weekend. PM me whoever would want me to send them via email.

2006 Hyundai Azera

Forgot my camera, but no need for it realy! Pretty easy car . Tail light seems to be welded to the deck, but it was no match for the bulldozer. Lil rear vents like an Avalon, huge border. Door panels were normal too. I guess tuffest part was believing the sticker price. Holy crap!!! This one was an Azera limited and went for thirty grand!! However, I must say this car was very nice and suprised the hell out of me. Real strong v6 and all the bells and whistles.

I can't remember if the back window this yr car can be done with a 24" roll or is it a bit larger than that requiring a wider roll I ask because it's a special order film I'm putting on so I'd prefere to order a 24" as opposed to a 40" (next size up it comes in) prefere not to splice on an easy window ..thanx
