Jake got a reaction from TintDude in Struggle
Well I will be the odd man out here. I have tried all different ways over my years installing. I flush the shiz out of my quarter windows before installing the film. I get my best results this way. This is after they have been thoroughly cleaned of course. What ever works for you is the best way. I always say you judge a good tinter buy his quarter glass.

Jake got a reaction from jh812 in lunch break
I am now trying to give my guys an hour. This way they can take care of things if they need to during that time, and they get a break. We are open 9-6pm. For me? I am with the other guys, what lunch break.

Worst/hardest car would definitely be a Black AC Cobra I did for a MLB player.

Jake got a reaction from WL Tint in Anyone tried XPEL Prime?
I have been using it for about 6 months also, and agree with everything Slick said. I use the CS-black and the XR-black Ceramic.

Jake got a reaction from jh812 in Florida medical exemption
I am not sure if it is 100% law or not, but here in Utah the HP pull people over for tint with out of state plates. Our southern boarder is close to Vegas. The HP down that way love to ticket Nevada drivers with dark tint. When I say dark I mean fronts with 5% on them. They know the Nevada law is 35%. I myself have had it happen when I lived in Vegas at the time, and was on a trip in Utah. The cop was a jerk , he said "if you are in my State you will abide by our laws". Yes he said MY state. So I would definitely have your paper work handy at all times.

Jake got a reaction from quality tintz in Time?
If you are at 1.5 hrs and doing good clean work and not breaking shiz, you are doing great. I have worked with some great tinters in my day. All were pretty much 1.5-2hrs for a average sedan or longer. Guy's that were much faster then that always did crap work. This is just from my experience. Not saying all faster guys do bad work. When I interview a installer and he leads with how fast he is, I know pretty much right out of the gate it is not going to work out.
Shoot, if you can do a good install in 3 hrs, don't smoke crack, show up on time, don't look like you crawled out of a gutter, have no baby mama drama, and can communicate better then a 3 year old, I would consider that win for your boss.

The only other thing that you may want to check into is the fuel pump relay. A rely is just an electronic switch. So each time it is triggered it makes a small arc just like the light switch on the wall. After so long it can have trouble making a good contact, and work intermittently.

Jake got a reaction from quality tintz in Removal rates...are you charging enough?
I am $20 per roll up and $80hr for back glass. I pay my helper $15hr. He does all the removals, so I don't mind them much. Everyone around me does $5 per roll up and $40 for a back glass. I just laugh and hope they keep it that way. They can have fun this those crusty old cars.

Have tried a few glues and nothing worked here also. But on another note. I heated mine and bent it up more. Way better tool now and works for the new Camaro back glass perfect.

This is the truth. You can get a car right off the transport, a bit of prep and good to go. Get another one, and it is covered in rail dust an crap. 2 hours later your just getting ready to lay film.

Jake got a reaction from quality tintz in Has anyone seen dawn dishsoap eat up the adhesive on side and rear windows?
If any of the over the counter slips worry you, just use Film On.

It's been good. No real milky haze that I have experienced with others. That being said I have not driven with it in that evening light that seems to bring the haze out the most.

Jake got a reaction from Tint Slayer in Floor
Don't use Race Deck. I spent 4k for it in my shop. Water never dried completely under it. Over time it would start to stink. Tile pop up when you turn on it. Stop a little to quick, the tiles would slide the whole 2k square feet of floor and buckle it.It does not clean well either. Ripped it all out. It's probably good for a show floor that you park a Ferrari on just to stare at it. Not good for an actual working shop. Then I had a company come in and do some floor coating that is supposed to be some crazy stuff that bonds with the concrete. They ground the floor down and all that stuff. Again about 4k to do it all. Well I am in Utah and it snows, people use studded snow tires. When you pull in our shop you have to turn in . They tore up the floor the first winter. Now that the floor has spots that have torn up, if I wanted to I could probably rip the whole floor up in a huge sheet from one end to the other. So much for bonding to the concrete. @TintWizard has been talking about is pond liner for years. I should have just done that to begin with. Or just clean and seal you concrete with a commercial sealer and call it good.
