Hi I know I've got a Seat Alhambra but no Seat sections are available, VW is as close as you can get!! Anyway back to business. I have got a 2001 x-reg Alhambra with standard fit rear tinted windows, it appears though that they are a greenish tint accordin to everywhere I go. The only problem is I want to tint the front side windows to match and all my local places can only get charcoal tints and not greenish ones. Any ideas what the best thing is I can do with out re-tinting all the windows. I'm completly stuck!! Please help if anyone can Cheers

2005 Jetta

Did a 2005 Jetta today, its the same as the 2004 but the back glass has barely 1/16" to hide your film on the bottom and not much more on the sides, I hope this was just a freak thing, maybe the glass got sucked in wrong or something, rear deck easy just like the 2004. This has no place here, I just wanted to use it.

2002 Jetta Rear Window Tint 1 2
by Guest MikeyBoomer- 12 replies

Hey everyone, Im new to the site and enjoying reading other members experiences. I just had my 2002 Jetta GLS sedan Tinted. The back window has a very noticible black line running completely through it left to right. Upon close inspection I noticed that the Installer overlapped the 2 sections of Tint. Is this Correct? Im thinking not. What should be done to correct the problem? The Tinter told me to return so he cold trim the overlap. Is this the proper way to correct this foolish mistake? Or should I insist on having them redo the back window? the 4 side windows are perfect. ANy comments or suggestions would be grestly appreciated. Thanks, MikeyBoomer

Hello, I am going to buy a VW Polo 95-99 (older model). For those of you who are unsure which model, look at a picture of one by clicking the link below: Polo I would like to know what are the biggest size alloys that can fit on this car, also how many studs. There is some guy at my university who owns an awesome one of these cars, I could swear the alloys on his Polo look like 17" alloys. If anyone knows then please let me know. Thanks.

Can anybody give me a heads up on the MK 4 golf. My other half has just got one and I want to tint it. I have not done one before. I am tempted to pull the panels and even remove the quarter glasses to tint them rather than cutting the seal. I welcome any info on this vehicle. links to images of vehicle in question

The rear rollups of the Jetta shift out of one side of the rubber. How should I cut it? And any tips for applying it? It's been crease city for me so far. Thanks guys.

Does anyone have an idea of what I can use to match the greenish color of the new VW toureg. I have a guy willing to pay the big bucks if I can get an exact match or a least real close. Dealer wants to charge him $500 for the to fronts so I figure $300 would be a bargin. RIGHT? Manufacter Type and a phone number would be nice I use Lummar 99% of the time but they dont have anything that im aware of

Hey watup guys First time on the forum and I have to say I'm impressed with people's knowledge of tinitng....didn't really know so much went into the process. Anyways, I have recently done some modifications to my 95 VW Golf and am looking to tint it now but I have no clue where to begin, or how much the cost would be. I was wondering if anyone from Portland, OR could tell me where they got their tinting done, or a good place to go and get a quote....any help would be great, thanks! ~ John

child safety

Worked on a GTI the other day and all windows went fine until the last one---the passenger door. upon raising the window with top micro edged, the window went all the way up and then immediately back down. You are unable to stop the window no matter what -pass switch, driver switch, nothing works. The car has a safety system on that door that senses resistance and immediately rolls the window all the way down. After redoing it 3 times finally figured out that you must apply upward pressure to outside of window while raising it to overcome the added resistance of the film drag. Good luck.

just did one today not realy to bad. the back window will have alot of fingers. but they lay down easy. the doors are fairly simple. the only real thing needed to know about these. are the quarter windows have to be cut. to almost excact size. you have no excess on the inside
