Thought about the waiver some, but the access for windshields sucks now. The center consoles are getting bigger and most have stuff by the mirror. If you’re doing them now you better have 1-2 soak ropes, and have that module covered.  I did 22 Lexus RX460 yesterday and glanced at the shield and said no way. 

...or that your insurance can refuse to pay if you get into an accident because of illegal modifications...

Get it removed, trash the material since it is not reusable, and have a professional reinstall.
 
Everybody out there can tint windows, only the blessed can tint them well.

I just clean normal and they get what they get. When a car is that it shows they dont care. Every single car I tint for a really picky person shows up detailed.

I've been on the HP and Ceramic exclusively for the last few years. I used to keep it as a brand option while carrying the majors, which had wider recognition. For my customers today, the only brand I'm pushing is myself.
 
The Global products seem to have a tougher scratch coating, more silicone in the release liner and aren't pulled tincil tight during manufacturing so it shrinks like butter and doesn't curl anywhere near as much when handling. 
 
Get a light box on your counter and the brand discussions mostly stop. When you can demonstrate performance all they want to know is how soon they can schedule.

Just never double layer. You cant clean the window well with a layer of tint and the top edge will likely overlap or underlap. Also, whenever I do removals with the double layer, Ive had the second layer practically fall off like it wasnt sticking. I guess thats why film is made to stick to glass, not another layer of tint.

No way around it…they suck. So relieved to not do them anymore. I’ll just let my comp do these, and I’ll just schedule more full vehicles. Plus, 90% of people want them on Trucks and Teslas…no thanks!

I use an 8” roll for visors and save any scraps that can do a visor.

I have done a back window on an el camino 7 times before it finally laid. it was the only thing on the schedule though.  had an r/r on 3000gt last week that took 2 attempts for the back window. I would have probably given it two more attempts. Dano is right about scheduling on an off day. the added stress doesn't help the cause. 

Id say after 2. I had a Vette a long time ago I tried 3 on. I turn down Vettes now. To learn them I would need to do them regularly, which is the problem. I’ll turn down Beetles too. 

I'd say 3 is a good number, especially when other work is breathing down your neck.

Obviously your response is solely based on the number of retints, and you did not consider any of the factors I provided that led to those retints.
 
For the current tint, the distortions are within the depths of field of me during driving, and they distract my focus points every time. Look at the video I provided, which represents the blurry effects across the windshield, then tell me if you think this is acceptable to see during driving.
 
While you're at the topic of batteries, energy storage decreases by 5% after 100,000 miles, and 20% after 400,000 miles. Maybe you need to be reasonable?

Tint is to be looked through. Not looked at. 7 times . maybe you need to be reasonable? Its just plastic on Windows put on by a living human.it not going to be perfect. You don't get dirt on the outside sometimes?  Does the sun go down can you see it when you sleep as well. More importantly what are those batteries going to do in ten years. J.J..
 

I suppose this won't go away with sunlight baking then. Is it terribly difficult to remove residual glue? Previous 3M Ceramic IR was left on the car for over 4 weeks.

Tinted 7 times and didnt fry the electronic module on the driver side of the windshield?? Damn thats lucky. Im glad I stopped tinting them. 

For the ones Ive done, I flush like crazy, razor window, scrub and squeegee like 4x times. Then just end up with tons of contamination like it wasnt even cleaned along with light gaps. I will never tint one again! 

Using the 60” is complete waste of time. If you’re not butt seaming these by now you’re as clueless as the shop this guy went to. 

I use a regular bath towel. It's cheap and effective.
