Im new to your guys forum, and new to the wrap bussiness. Ive got a trade show coming up, and id really like to showcase what can be done with our products, but im having a hard time with figuring out how to carry the wrap onto the rear bumper and trunk. Ive purchased the Wrapture Half Wraps, and the BurnOut has caught my eye. Ive got the hood figured, but thats kinda easy judging by the wraps ive seen in your guys posts. very nice work all of you! I know im suppose to be showcasing my work, but I just really dont want it to be a flop and chase off 5 thousand ppl. ( My towns population ) I am willing to pay, ive seen some other people inquiring about this also, my only re…

by Guest msteurs- 2 replies

Hey guys, Since 1997 we are active in PDR in Belgium, having a large experience in repairing small dents up to 3 cm diameter. We are now doing a research to find the best techniques on the market for repairing larger dents, up to 5 or 6 cm diameter, or even more. What experience do you guys have ? Can you suggest me certain techniques ? Or can you refer me to specialized websites which treat about this topic ? Thanks for sharing your experiences ! Good luck with your business ! Here is what we did last week, we did 4 of the box trucks and one partial race car and a full wrap race car...let us know what you think! http://www.guardiangraphics.net/sitebuilde...187-634x328.jpg http://www.guardiangraphics.net/sitebuilde...205-774x367.jpg Also, need some opinions... buying a new car, of course we will tint it and put PPF on it, but should I do a partial wrap or full wrap, we already have our truck fully wrapped... and I have a really good custy that wants their car partial wrapped, he goes to a lot of shows and always places as long as he has our graphics on his cars, we have done 3 cars for him, and he just finished a 85 Monte Carlo, anyway, he …

Bringing in a new customer next week for a full wrap, truck is a little rough to begin with, custy was very hard to close, nice people, but hard to sell, anyway, want to protect ourselves from them damaging the wrap. Does anyone have any disclaimers for removal? We were mostly concerned if they try to remove wrap themselves and end up damaging paint of truck, which is questionable to begin with. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone. first, let me say that this forum is truly a godsend for me...I have been searching for something like this for a long time. I am a 24 year old part time pdr technician. I went to school about 2 years ago. it was a 2 week course at ding king. My instructor was awesome and really helpful. he doesn't work at the school anymore though. and I don't know anyone else in my area that does this. I have done it on and off for friends and relatives and I am really passionate about pdr. I would like to start my own legitimate business and make it a career...this is what I want to do for the rest of my life, I found my niche and I will do anything to be one of the bes…

I have just started doing vehicle warps. Using the vehicle template in ILLustrator for a 02' International. The problem I'm having is to match the front fenders and hood graphic to meet up. These fenders are 10" wide. After stretching the vinyl, nothing seems to match up? Also the front template is only showing a 12" hood height, when it is really 48"

Hi guys, I've been researching for a couple of hours now about this stuff, Vehicle wraps are the closest that I found to what im looking for. I want to change a cars color completely using vinyls or whatever durable material there is, I found this website www.foilacar.com, is this the same as Vehicle wraps? Why I ask is because the business I want to start is not a rolling billboard graphics on vehicles, but to change the car's original color in a way that its not really obvious that its vinyl or whatever, and also to be durable and have some kind of warranty, and not some cheap stuff that will start to peel in a couple of months. Why I emphasize on durability is als…

Question on rivets
by Guest tat2punk- 2 replies
- 1.8k views
I am doing a wrap on the box of a moving truck next week. I have done many of the standard rivets on these box trucks but this one is different. It has few rivets but they are the ones that are about an inch in diameter and look to be a hard rubber/plastic. Is there anything you do different on these to prepare them? I am worried about the material sticking to them after awhile.

Hello, I apologize if this question seems redundant to you and has been asked many times before, please bear with me. We want to expand into vehicle wraps and I am clueless as to what equipment is needed compared to what the salesman is trying to "sell" me. my questions: 1. what width is the reccomended printer size? will 48" be sufficient or will I be kicking myself later for going cheap? 2. what brand is reccomended and what should I stay away from? 3. is using a laminator the standard? 4. does the printer usually come with software or is this usually bought seperate? 5. Where would be a good place to start looking for a printer and equipment? 6. who sells vehi…

Cut-away artwork
by Guest daverita- 0 replies
- 1.3k views
I am new to this forum and would like to know if anyone out there has a source for vehicle cut-away artwork. We have a request for a PT Cruiser wrap that looks like you can see through the body and reveils the engine, suspension, interior etc... I guess some would call this a ghost view graphic. The customer does not care if the artwork is of an actual PT Cruiser or some other vehicle that could be resized to fit our template. I found one person (Ken Hulsey), online that actually creates this type of artwork, but he quoted us $30k-$45k for one view. I think our client would be willing to spend up to $2000.00 tops for the right artwork. Thanks for any and all help.
