I'd love to see some pictures of the impossible grills/bumpers/etc where you have to make relief cuts, or simply patch in multiple pieces. I have seen a lot of crappy jobs.... and now I face a '99 Accord which will be rough! Here's the model Any advice is much appreciated.

Rough price to wrap a car in the UK/Wales area

I'm 50/50 on what to do with my current car. Its a Saab 9000 Aero (yep its old... but quick!!) and I've spent thousands on the performance side to get it over 450bhp, the plan was to push it even further this year to 500-550 but its not in the best condition bodywise with rust/dents etc but mechanically its fine. So I was going to swap all the performance bits across to a saab 9-3 and basically start again but am now thinking of sorting the bodywork out and then wrapping it in either a matt black or pearlescent white instead for a fresh look. How much ££££ would I be looking at to get it professionally wrapped and are there any decent places in South Wales/Bristol area I…

I am planning on a wrap fo my Tahoe just not sure yet what look I want , but ... there are some areas where the paint is chipped/peeling . If I feather the edges (sanding) will it be that noticable after the wrap? Or does anyone have any suggestions ? For "curb appeal" I was thinking of blue carbonfiber with white lettering for my logo. Would the cf kindof hide any imperfections?

Guys, Here's a time lapse link to a business that really appears to be catching on.....wrapping cars. If it wasn't for that fact that mine is red which is Ferrari's racing colour which is the most recognised, I'd nearly give it a go for a change. Amazing expertise IMHO and there has to be big bucks in this caper for sure. What do you think? Devil

Newbie with Glossy C/F vinyl advice

Hi brand new here & a bit of a L O N G 1st post sorry! First off I'm by no means a pro or very experienced with these things but have been doing a few bits & pieces on my spare time off work....so be gentle!! I've been buying some of the 3D c/f vinyl wrap off ebay and have done a few dash kits for Saabs....(I'm a bit of a Saab Nut...) I've covered the following dashes for the 9000, 9-3 & 9-5 and a few other trim parts for my own 9000. I tried the 3M Di-NOC vinyl last year but prefer the 3D stuff as its cheaper and has a more of a sheen finish to it. Anyway...pics: Saab 9000 (mine) I was pretty chuffed with these until 2 hours later whe…

In between customer jobs we needed to freshen up one of two shop trucks. So we decided to do a retro grunge look ,We got tired of flames and skulls.Plus we dedicated the roof to four of our family members whom passed. All printed on Avery MPI 1005 W/1060 gloss overlaminate, on a Roland VP540i.We even wrapped the center of the rims in gloss black.

hahaha wrappers sounds like rappers. Anyways, I've done tint/clear bra for 5-6 years. I started getting into wraps last year and it was such a nice transition with the clear bra background(I find vinyl to be way more forgiving and easier to work than clear bra). I've done roofs, interior trims, entire cars, motorcycles, etc... but now I want to be more involved with it. I'm finding it hard to know where to go from here. I'm not a guy with 10 years experience like some of you but I know a fair amount of it and I was wondering what do I do now. I'd really like to dedicate myself to just wrapping from now on but since I'm kind of new to wraps I dont know how do you get a job…

What are your thoughts on: http://fordcustomgraphics.com/index.php and http://www.fordcommercialgraphics.com/. Looks like Ford is getting into the wrap business? Who would do these installs? Looks like you order and the dealer installs? The pricing seems high for the graphics ( where we make all our $$) and the install is being farmed out or installed in house - note the estimated install costs after you pick the graphics... Joe

Well yeah. I've encountered a lot of those new none removable antennas and I know you can removed them from under the roof but do I really have to pull the headliner down?(I know how to is just a hassle just for a roof wrap) How are you guys doing this? Are you guys just using a plotter to do the shape of the antenna through a vehicle outline software or? I really don't have a plotter past 24 inches to run a 48-60 in roll of vinyl through. This is what I mean about those antennas Thanks to y'all

We recently had the opportunity to wrap a new Chevy silverado for a local car dealer. The problem was that all the camo prints and disks images were not good enough,so we took it upon ourselves to design our own camo pattern in house. This print was totally designed to be more realistic than a rendering type that is currently avalible. It has a depth look to it.Plus it can be placed on the vehicle and the sides will match up to the hood, roof, and tailgate without a break in the pattern.
